I came here after Australia lost to India in Perth , same situation Australia was 5 down for 100 odd runs , But unfortunately there was no Adam Gilchrist there to save them this time , There was and will be only one Gilli .

Its very hard to describe which one was better. But definitely this inning was something else. Pakistan have almost started celebration but this pair defy that.

Steve Waugh after this match said that Justin Langer was the best batsman in the world. I understand that he was proud of Langer but to many, including me was an overrated statement.

Beside that , Langer was out edging the ball, and umpire didn't give him out and aussies are not known for walking 😊😊😀😀

Yeah.... ball tampering and no contribution in important prestigious circumstances don't make anyone successor to Sir Don Bradman, showing fraud age certificates and messing with the pitches before the semifinal and final match in the main World Cup is a sub continental thing 🤡☹😂😂

It's BCCI, New Zealanders are bunch of soft woke idiots that they said nothing about it even though it happened right before their eyes but against Australia, you can't simply win simply by cheating and in 1996 semifinal when a golden generation of West Indies side had only 50 or so more run chase left against Australia in India and WI had 8 wickets left and the due came in, but unlike crying and screaming about it like many Indian cricket experts did, Australia humiliated West Indies from that point on against all odds that's why they are the greatest cricketing nation ever in 2015 Australian broad never doctored their pitches for their favor instead they humbled others like a man,

Pakistan had the most strongest line up from 1997 to 2001. They lost some close encounters because of their poor fielding .

This wonderful innings was unfortunately overshadowed by that horrendous umpiring decision of Langer , even after Langer clearly edging it. I mean, Langer should have also had a clear sense of whether that ball edged his bat or not. Being a true fan of Gilchrist, that’s poor sportsmanship

That’s what the umpire is for. Sometimes umpires get it wrong. Batsmen all over the world wait for the umpire’s decision, it’s certainly not bad sportsmanship.

That's a tough call. Justin Langer was never a walker. Most batsmen didn't back then - the thinking was you're sometimes given out when your not out and on balance it evened out. It was unfortunate for that Pakistan team but it most definitely wasn't bad sportsmanship. It's poor umpiring.

Boss. The Aussies didn't play it fair and were lucky to escape defeat in this game. Look at the team Pak had. Wasim, waqar, shoaib and saqqi. What more a team wants.

To win in Australia you need 4 proper bowler and Pak had 5 including Azhar Mahmood. Tough luck they could not win

Don't know how Pakistan lost this game. I think mainly because of the Aus umpire's umpiring. Langer was definitely out and not given. Even Gilchrist was plumb LBW against Saqlain offering no shot. Or was the match deliberately given away by Pak for some money. Their body language was bad and suddenly Wasim Akram started behaving strangely and it looked like they were not playing to win
