Ran into Adam Goodes in 2013 when he came into Waterloo Coles while I was working there. We chatted for a good 10 minutes during my tea break about some of the rules changes and his favourite moments playing for the Bloods. An absolute gentleman and one of the most down to earth sportsmen you could ever met. Too bad some people have chosen to hate on him despite never having met him.

What an amazing player Adam was, had everything, speed, size, agility, strength, power...was completely untouchable from 2003-2012 and by far the best player in the comp, what a legend!

Yessss!! Love Adam Goodes so much! My idol growing up. So glad I could meet him many times in my childhood through my afl goal umpire dad. What a legend for the club. Played on one good knee in the 2012 grand final but had a very good game that day and kicked a very important goal with not long left in the game and was awesome to be at that game. What a player and what a legend. Great career Adam!!

Had the great opportunity to see him in the rooms as a young swans fan after the Collingwood game incident. He was the most welcoming and friendly person to have a chat and photo with from someone who had only just had such an incident pulled on him but to still show genuine care for fans gave me the upmost respect for the man. A legend of the game and Australia, hands down.

Carleton Clements Have you forgotten that Goodes tied with two other players for that Brownlow? That year, like many that we've seen, there was no one stand-out best player. Nobody is suggesting he's the best player of all time, he was just consistently very good over a number of years. To suggest he won that Brownlow for politically correct reasons is absolutely absurd. In terms of the video, nobody really has amazing highlights when you break them down into five moments. I haven't been very impressed with almost any of these videos the AFL have posted. The exception being players who were a living highlight reel, like Russell Robertson.
