Actually polls show that most people don't want one now as the government has clearly shown it didn't know what it was doing, still doesn't and what they campaigned for was total lies. We already have democracy, same with sovereignty, it will never be like when the empire was around again.We have the right to rule as well, the only issue is immigration that people had. And the net gain was proven to be better then any loss. AS they pay more taxes then people who were born here do. Plus all these problems about immigration is actually about people from outside the EU, but you listened to a government who's sole purpose was to make the divide in wealth great again like the good old Victorian days. They blame the EU for what they are doing and people listened. Our economy will not be more stable in the long run, as people don't understand trade and economics at all. You mention all of this but I have a feeling you don't understand what any of it means.

Josh hits the nail right on the head.... except the Chelsea Clinton point (*shudder at the thought). Its too easy to criticise when your not out of work, living in a bankrupt city (like Detroit), and thinking that many of the decent blue collar jobs are going to other countries, and worse of all you don't see you bright future for you or your children or grandchildren. Its harder to listen and try to understand why, and to respond rather than react (per the protests in NYC). The marginalised many are speaking. They shouted for Jeremey Corbin once, the political elite didn't like it, so they shouted again. The Brexit vote beat the pollsters, and there are still politicians and upper crust plonkers that say that the 'people' don't know what they are talking about. The same thing has been proven with President elect Trump, The perception is that the political elite (and media) are marginalising the masses and its got to the point where a lot of disaffected people have said 'enough is enough". Trump believed his campaign was a movement. I believe this is a world movement. The ordinary bloke in the street is sick to the back teeth of professional politicians, with no work experience that are part of the Eton/Harrow and Oxbridge elite. People perceive a general lack of empathy from our representatives. How can they? They've never had to work part time to pay for education, survive on benefits or even live hand to mouth. Trump touched the disaffected many in a way that only FDR did. Infrastructure, jobs (for Americans), acknowledging perceived fears (whether real or not), and basically offering another way. Only Bernie Sanders could have put up a realistic fight against him. Clinton tried to play the gender card and it failed miserably, shame on her for having that arrogance. Generally I like all of the guys on this show, but they have been too quick to criticise and mock the movement that has brought Trump to power.

A fence is still a wall. You can have a wall of bricks, a wall of people, a wall of chocolate, or in this case; a wall of wire fencing. I believe they're actually going with two walls. Fencing is more feasible, cost effective and will actually be better at keeping people out. He's still a buffoon, but having a secure border isn't actually as ridiculous as people are making out.

Oh look, a tool commenting on British politics without even understanding anything about it. I actually shouldn't be surprised. The vote to leave the EU was a referendum, not an election. Tye political party in power and the prime minister was not part of that vote as the party election had taken place long before that. In fact the party that campaigned for Brexit, UKIP, only won around 5-10% of the vote. In post Brexit the prime minister resigned and that was why a new prime minister was needed and Boris Johnson passed up on the position as the Conservative leader of the Brexit campaign because he was a coward to scared of the shitstorm that was headed their way because of him and his actions.

I met a friend of mine, that is really hard to shut up, in a coffee shop last month and we (somehow) got onto American politics and it was just horrendous. He isn't a Trump supporter, but he hates Hilary Clinton so automatically started backing Trump and when I said Hilary Clinton was the lesser of two evils for US president (because she's done a couple of crappy things) he started saying "Oh come on Hilary, the thief, who took money from the Haiti charity fund" incredibly, incredibly loudly.He has days when he just goes out of his way to aggravate people and... this was one of those days... I had my back to the coffee shop, but as I said earlier, he is incredibly hard to shut up so eventually I just gave up and let him rant and rant, it was horrific. He said later that he was talking louder than usual because there was a woman just behind me who was obviously bursting to say something and he wanted her to hear everything and... ugh... I just wanted to murder him. Eventually I just buried my chin on my hand and sipped my tea and let him rant.Please, nobody start telling me "you should have left" or "you should have told him to shut up" because honestly, you haven't met him. It's near on impossible!
