You guys are funny! You are correct most Americans think all people from Britian speak like Rex Harrison did in the movie "My Fair Lady". Many also think that British people use saying like, "I say" and "pip pip Cheerio" all the time. All one has to do is visit England to shoot that stereo-type to hell.

Yeah I thought it was pretty odd when they suggested that a bad 'British' accent was uncommon from the US, I don't even know what a 'British' accent is, to me a Scouse accent is absolutely nothing like my own south coast mixture of west country and london-esque voice with a bit of posho thrown in. Even Wales, as small as it is, has many different accents, to me a British accent might as well be an Earth accent, in that it doesn't exist.
