This is Adam's best video. He was trying to destroy the good and docile side of himself while still trying to hold on to the dark and rebellious side. The dark side seemed stronger and reckless while the light and obedient side seemed weaker, but Adam saved both sides because...well...never mind. This song is about Adam's inner struggle.

He saved both sides because that makes him Adam. A real person is aware of his own dark side, and when you learn to accept it, is when you're the happiest. This video, to me, is about embracing both of your sides; the dark and the light. The lyrics match, too. :)

This video holds tons of hidden meanings. On one side, Adam is an unforgiving, malicious, violent person and on the other he his balancing himself, so that he won't be on the edge. Throughout the song though, his darker side is slowing stripping away his insanity, making it harder for him to keep a grip on his fears. He slowly starts to hyperventilate and lose air, while his former self is pushing the walls of the glass that bind them, to save his other half. Last, after success, he walks out of the building with a pair of eyes that are completely different. One blue, One brown. This shows that he has chosen to equally balance both of the two parts that he truly is.

If you only know - understand and search - then you`ll see also - how many are transgenders in this world. The number of biological males and females went down quickly. And that not only in one country nor in one century - but many years and all around the world. The only thing that changed: it became public and now it`s "cool" just because it is presented so.

A few years ago, I was in an extremely dark place, full of self destructive behavior and alienating everyone because of the rejection of someone I loved and I let myself spiral. I would listen to this song and cry, but it was the realization that the person he was talking about was himself. The balance of both the pain and darkness and the light, and the will to do better and be good. We need both to be real. This song, this music video, was such a huge pivotal moment in my life.

This video now makes sense more than it did years ago when I first heard it when released. I’m diagnosed with major depression and anxiety, meds and therapy help. But this video explains mental health. One side is the one that has no care in the world, will be destructive and all over the place, while the other side is trying to keep calm and sane. The dark side is wanting the other to join, to fully emerge and be the same, while the light side is saying no and trying to help the dark side. Both sides fighting each other. The dark side is spiraling and needs the light to keep it from going off the edge. When the light loses oxygen, it’s like a panic attack, you struggle to breathe, but the dark helps them breathe, as in you let yourself feel and let it out before it completely crumbles you and takes over. At the end of the video, they’re both balance, two eye colors, they balance each other and are controlled.
@adrianaavila88533 жыл бұрын

I think maybe the best relationship you can have & trust is the one with yourself. Maybe it is the best ship. I wish Adam a great love someday that meets all his desires, but the one true love has to be yourself and I think Adam has that.

It means "They" fuse together maybe. It is because the 'Dark' one was wearing yellow lens while the 'normal' one not wearing. xD.
@berke270610 жыл бұрын
Having two different eye colours is caused by a mutation, remember the next time when you'll see people with different eye colours, 3 arms, 6 fingers on each hand or other mutations, that human kind like we are is starting to die and they are the "symbols" for the fact that the next generation of human kind is coming, we won't see that, our children won't see that, their children also won't see that, but in 500 years maybe, their will be a different kind of human race, maybe they will be giant like creatures or the opposite, maybe they will have a different face structure or 3 eyes, maybe they will be able to fly or to swim on the bottom of our oceans, maybe maybe maybe, next generation of Evolution is coming and we can't stop it also we won't why should we do this? It will be fantastic hehaheha

This is still one of my favorite songs, and I love this music video to bits. It's filmed beautifully and resonates with such ferocity and softness that it fills me with the conscious understanding that I cannot have light without the dark, and I cannot have the dark without the light. We have to balance both the light and dark sides of our personalities. We have to feed both wolves to keep our spirits and minds balanced as best we can. In short, it's a beautiful reminder to love our darkness in the same and/or similar way that we love our light. On another note, I just realized that many of my story ideas were inspired by your music and music videos, Adam. So thank you for the inspiration.

Gay men make great best friends! You have awesome, deep conversations about men...easy, since they are one!
