Adam is awesome. I met him after a huge show in Sacramento. He was just walking around while Blink 182 was wrapping things up. No one recognized him but me, and he stood talking with me and my friends for about 15 minutes and took picutres. He was funny, and pretty laid back.

Emo was not new in 2006, the label Emo i believe started with bands like Fugazi,Fuel(not the stupid mtv fuel band) and then with bands like Hot Water Music,Jimmy Eat World,Get Up Kids etc. It was probably late 80's or early 90's when it all started but this current use of the word emo doesn't have the same meaning to us old schoolers as it does the mtv crowd, I would say that their early style fits in with the old school style of emo music.

emo was, actually, a slowed down play on hardcore punk in the 90's (emo is short for emotive hardcore). It grouped in bands like Mineral, and American Football, and around mid 2000's (around 2005), an emo revival started that grouped in the band Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate), among others. Taking Back Sunday is alternative rock lol.

I liked Adam during the WYWTB years because he kinda reminds me of Kurt Cobain( I said KINDA , don't go all outraged on me) then they joined a mainstream label and is all cleaned, also it probably has something to do with aging what ever.

I really really like Adam regardless of being an asshole or not when he was really young, like with Nolan, I think he wasnt an asshole but I think he grew too cocky and just became an asshole and the old stuff is completely different from their new stuff which I think Adam's attitude reflects but still, regardless, i love him :D

I like that he says Fred and Rubano are better musicians they still ended up fuckin the lineup by taking back Shaun and John... Rubano is a really creative bass player, Fred was awesome, Fazzi voice was impressive and new again was great... Check Fazzi in the acoustic live show from Orensanz ... After that theres a couple songs here and there... The live shows were better before 2011... The politics in this band seems to be really messed up..

the term emo is nothing new, it's been around since bands like At The Drive In, Brand New, and Sunny Day Real Estate... it's a pretty irrelevant term though, cause any aret should have "emotion" in it and everyone called emo rejects the tag. It doesn't really exist, it's just a strain of punk or hardcore, and a bunch of other genres... smh No genre BS, just music! :) Just love Taking Back Sunday :D (yes, I know what my name is, it's a sarcastic name)
