And before people asked why did he turn to dust. It’s simple he was hundreds maybe even thousands of years old. He had outlived his life expectancy. The moment his powers where gone, so was his ability to regenerate new cells to stay alive I wonder if he would have turned to dust during the eclipse as well 🤔
@PoochieTheDog2 жыл бұрын
Adam Monroe used his blood to heal Nathan’s burns & Claire’s blood healed her dad’s eye along with bringing him back from the dead. Essentially, what I’m getting at is Arthur only needed Adam’s blood to heal himself. Later Arthur steals all of Peter’s powers so he would of recieved the healing abilities anyways.

Arthur wanted Adams abilities since it made him practically immortal. This would allow him to survive most attacks against him.

@@rickmarr8784 Exactly while he knew he would pick up peters abilities later theres no telling if anything would have happened to him before hand. Some unknown complication or attack on him. If the only power be stole was Adams then at least hes still invulnerable and almost immortal.

Realistically Adam wouldn't have turned into dust. His power wasn't like some magical glue keeping him together, it was regenerating his cells, he didn't age because his cells were being regenerated constantly. If he lost his power, that would be it, he just wouldn't be able to heal anymore.
@porkchump9 жыл бұрын
Quinn Quintillus no, it was explained his cells have regenerated so many times that they are now dying and regenerating in equilibrium, therefore halting his aging which was the only thing keeping him alive.

Blood would only be a temporary solution, and he would have to keep on getting fed Adam's blood. Stealing his power makes way more sense from an evil guy perspective. Since Adam lost his power, he died instantly since his cell were 400 years old and mostly dead.

@junemoon14863 жыл бұрын
I don't understand why he aged so rapidly and died. Adam does not "freeze" his age by time manipulating, he doesn't age because he can recover the damage from cell division. Funny thing is, Adam would be dead after he loses his ability, even if he is not 400 years old. He borns with the ability, which made him immune to every disease. So he literally doesn't have any antibody or resistance to virus in normal way, which means he would be dead by infection without his ability. Claire did die this way in season 3. This aging scene was not necessary at all.

He wouldn't die instantly and in a hospital they could work to boost his immune system. So for the purpose of the scene, they wanted him dead on the spot to show he had his powers removed.

@DesignIncase2 жыл бұрын
Given Claire's lineage nothing really demonstrates that. Her father can fly. Her mother can start fires. Her grandmother on one side has empathic dreams while her Grandfather steals powers. Doesn't seem to be a trace of healers in the family. But it's probably a more common power then not.
