Good job on the video. I don't want to come across as one of those know it all guys, however what you're demonstrating is effectively how to use these two products as a waterless wash solution to clean your car. Adams detail spray is NOT meant for that process, although technically you can use it as such, it's just a very expensive solution. They have a Waterless wash product that does a better job for that application, but there is a certain technique that should be followed to avoid micro-swirls and scratches. Adams would never recommend using their Detail Spray in this manner, but rather based on the condition of your car prior to demonstration, they would recommend washing using the two bucket method or other prescribed washing methods. Detail Spray should really only be used after the car is properly cleaned using one of the prescribed methods and as an enhancement to boost existing LSP (last step process) on your paint such as a sealant and or wax, but only after it's been properly cleaned. There are other prescribed uses in the polishing, sealing and waxing steps, but washing isn't one of them. Again, you can do it, but your method is very expensive and has the potential to damage the paint. While you may have sealant on your car, it won't protect the surface against marring as someone else suggested. My guess is if you shined a light into your surface you would see the marring he was suggesting. I could see a huge scratch on your hood on the Chemical's guy's side at about the 6:46 time mark and while I'm not clear if it was associated with your demo, if this is your standard practice to clean the car, it wouldn't surprise me. Again, I'm not trying to be a wise guy here, but I don't think you should lead people to believe this is a proper washing technique or solution to clean your car because this technique will cause micro-swirls and scratching.

Patrik Lundsten I went heavier due to the grime that was on the surface, I wanted the silicone which is in the products to properly coat the grime so it can easily wipe off without marring the paint which no marring occured

Depends on the waterless wash, chemical guys ecosmart is ehh at best, it cleans well but will scratch, not enough lubrication

Ryder'sCove I use Wolfgang Uber Rinseless at waterless wash dilution ratio. It' super slick, and gives you more confidence when wiping that it will not hurt the paint. I just washed my vehicle today, and used Adams Detail Spray and waffle weave drying towel. It was super fast. I have to agree that Adams Detail Spray does smell amazing, like some kind of cotton candy.

They do smell great, as long as it feels slick then its good, thats why usually only recommend p40 detail from chemical guys, after working there its the only thing they have that feels slick, what ever works for you great, gotta try those Wolfgang products.

Yeah I prefer Adam's, much slicker and better gloss, and remains longer on the surface. Going to be upping my video/audio up, Price difference Adam's $12.99 vs CG $9.99, 3 dollar difference but those three dollars makes a huge difference. Anyother questions let me know, especially on CG products I use to work for them and tested every single product they have besides the +$750 paste wax they have.

I'm starting to really dislike CG. I like to stick with Griots or Adams. They tend to focus more on what works and not like CG where they like to see how much stuff they can sell. I like one option that works well.

chemical guys hybrid v7 sealant and detailer is it good and does it really make your car gloss and which brand is better adams or chemical guys

djm93 it is a great spray sealant/detail spray, it does add a good amount of gloss, but for 17.99 for a 16oz bottle I wouldn't recommend it, I would suggest p40 adds comparable shine and it's more versatile as it could be used as a waterless wash, detail spray, clay live, and much more. But if I had to choose one brand I would say Adams their pink detail spray is amazing. Adds more gloss than any Chemical Guys detail spray, it wipes off dust much better, and like in the vid if their is some gritty road grime it can easily wipe it off with a few sprays without harming the paint. So hybrid v07 vs Adams detail spray go for Adams it thicker, much slicker, cleans so much better as a detail spray and waterless, many waterless washes and details sprays are the same Chemical except dilution is altered and an extra Chem is added for breaking down foreign matter. Adams detail spray all the way it's about 14.99 for a 16oz bottle so I would recommend the gallon is a better buy. Anything else let me know. I get all my Adams products from detail giant [e-mail] they love helping out people deals and stuff

Judy Norris because it cleans dust much better, after working for chemical Guys and having access to the safety data sheets and seeing the chemical compositions I made the choice to use Detail sprays as waterless wash and a waterless wash is exactly the as a detail spray except a bit more diluted and with an add cleaner to break down bird droppings and other things of that nature better, id rather pay more for the product knowing that the product will be safer. I'll pay for the extra for the product that adds extra lubricant such as dimethicone

Ryder'sCove thanks for your explanation. I've never seen nor read that explanation before. I love Adam's detail spray and Griot's waterless wash. I'll be doing some research as I am determined to keep up with my car washings this winter by doing waterless washes.

Judy Norris I always tell people to ask for safety data sheets so they know the chemical composition of products, Detail sprays and waterless washes use either silicone or silicone compounds which act as a gloss enhancer, lubricant, and surfactant(cleaner) the most common being dimethicone.
