As someone who was bullied at school, yes, i remember you. I remember your faces and names. I can recall them more than my favourote teachers or happy childhood memories. Your bullying literally changed my lifes course, because you wanted to be big, you thought it was funny, you wanted to fit in. You can apologise, and I can forgive you, but you broke a soul. Sorry is a salve, but the damage was done. But holding a grudge would only hurt me more. So I'll take that pain, hold on to it, and make sure noone else around me feels that way by my actions, and I hope if your contrition is sincere, that life treats you well for your redemptive act.

I always remember this scene. That simple call made such a difference to that poor guy, you could really tell how much it had been eating him up. 😢 PTSD is a terrible thing, wish this was more common.

This movie shocked me by how funny and beautiful it actually is, the scene when Ernie peas his pants and he says no one’s cool unless they pee there pants and the old lady says if being cool by peeing your pants then I am miles Davis! Come on man….

I remember being very young and seeing a few scenes in this movie back in the day and thinking this actor would only be cast in weird roles for the rest of his career. Now, it's been nearly thirty years since then and Steve Buscemi is one of the lowkey most brilliant and well-respected actors in Hollywood!

In my head canon steve buschemis charictar in billy maddison is the same one he played in con air with the little girl! Id like to think he crossed off billy maddisons name before going on his murderous rampage, what a nice guy! 😂

Regardless of how you feel about this movie or Adam Sandler in general, the inclusion of ELO's "Telephone Line" in a scene where he literally calls up a guy he bullied in the past is a work of art.

The good subtle detail in this scene is that Billy has the phonebook open and has several names marked showing he was trying to find him. Sometimes a sincere apology to the person you hurt in the past is all it takes. Its the exact opposite of Anger Management when Sandler confronted his bully and he acted like he was sorry, but started laughing at the reminder of what he did to him showing he didn't regret it despite how much it hurt Sandler.

At work, they teach “Run, Hide,Fight”. I think “Negotiate” needs to be added. Because I always make sure the stressed-out or bullied person at work or school personally gets a candy bar or ice cream.
