New found respect for Adam Sandler from watching this. Seems like a very down to earth guy who cares for all the people around him greatly and does what is in his power to show it. He also seemed a little under the weather yet didn't let that stop him from being a great guest/doing the show etc.

Dan cuts Adam off in the middle of answers or before he could finish his answers so many times its shocking. Does your wife call you nicknames? Yea she calls me...who knows...because Dan's cutting him off...again! I know Adam is awkward, and the easy defense is Dan's trying to help or trying to lead the interview in a certain direction, but its distractingly off-putting. Keep in mind, If I didn't like Dan, I wouldn't submit an opinion. But, because Dan is the best, expectations are high and constructive criticism is important. Dan's 3 weaknesses are chronic. 1. Impatience: He cuts guests off mid-sentence. 2. Ego: How much of Dan's show is about Dan vs. about others (guests)? 3. Preparation: How many of Dan's questions are open ended vs. binary yes/no questions? Dan's got to do a better job propping up his guests and forget the self. Don't bring a guests answers back to Dan's experience, bring it to their experience. Make them elaborate. Don't elaborate for them. Make them compare, don't compare to your experience. All of these problems come down to EGO. I is the 'Dan Patrick' show, so he can do what he wants, but when there's a guest, if Dan wants the best viewer experience, the show needs to become the 'name of the guest' show. Its rude or high school popularity contest vibe otherwise. His ego has gotten out of control lately too so I really hope this positive feedback would reach him.The absolute 100% best part of the dan patrick show is his interviews. I like that he brings on people of all different backgrounds (not just sports figures), I love the group camaraderie, and most of all I appreciate the laid back tone and less is more approach especially in a news cycle built on shock. Its the idea that in a world of people screaming, maybe the guy whispering can get the most attention, albeit counterintuitive. All of that great tone and skill gets compromised though if one person is trying to outshine, name drop, or force a particular self-image. I believe Dan Patrick could one day, truly, be the top interviewer in media (interviewing is a skill by the way). And, to be the best, hes got to allow other people to shine in the spotlight; help others get laughs; be happy for other people's success; don't feel the need to go overboard; don't try to look cool; don't be cool; don't be anything contrived; just be the guy that puts everyone else on. Be the point guard with 20 assists instead of the shooter with 20 points. Be Graham Bensinger not Howard Stern. Appreciate the show and all the hard work, love the show, just wanted to pitch in ways to improve it.

yea i hope my tone isnt fucked up either. truth is if i accomplished half as much id probably brag too, but i just figured in a wasteland of negativity (the internet) itd be appropriate to give constructive feedback. for the record, i think hes great and that's just my take on how to become the best. glad to hear im not on an island on that one tho :)

Hope they never talk about Todd’s “comedy career” again. He’s gone up 3-4 times in 10 years, there are beginners who go up that many times a night. He either needs to do it or never mention it again. I know Dan brings it up because it’s a funny topic for a minute or two but I hate how he doesn’t point out how silly it is. Jeff Garland really impressed me because out of the 20 comedians/comedic actors they’ve mentioned it to, he’s the only one who called him out on how absurd it is. Comics go up hundreds of times before making their first 100 dollars.
