Saquon was the best running back prospect coming out of college ever honestly.. even a better prospect than Barry sanders, Adrian Peterson etc.. and the giants ruined his career as best as they could.. 2017 2018 2019 2020 we had the worst O line in NFL history.. and this allll goes back to Mara sticking his hands into everything… ben mcadoo was TRASHH but he benches Eli ruins his streak gets fired for it.. john mara literally instead of rebuilding the correct way he is ONLY willing to hire a GM that will take a RB 2nd overall with the worst O line of all time just to give Eli another chance give him a running game… so they hire Gettlemen on the agreement that Eli will still be the starter and were going to take a RB 2nd overall with the worst O line in NFL history… what happens Eli had ZERO protection started falling and taking sacks before the play would even start.. who wouldnt a guy about to be 40 behind those lines… saquon gets hurt multiple times seriously too.. then they hire a young special-teams coordinator from Bill Belichick because they still have a great relationship.. but they dont even let Joe Judge pick his own coaching staff the guys who hes going to work with day in and day out.. thats how Mara ends up hiring Jason Garrett himself.. a jerry jones puppet a guy who hadnt called plays since 2009… and Garretts rushing attack scheme was as if we had Zack, Martin, Travis Frederick and Tyron Smith all in their primes.. when the rest of the league was running the Kyle shanahan Sean McVay singleback zone blocking stretch runs.. set up alot for the cutback get the defense flowing one way and boom the RB cutbacks basically to defend that rushing attack the point of attack could be everywhere every defender on the field has to keep gap integrity cant over run the play build a wall set the edges to keep contain and make the tackle when the RB runs into you… bottom line the media and most stupid fans dont understand these young QBs coming out of college need protection and a good system to operate.. its the ultimate team game the QB is not going to be the savior.. look at Kyle shanahan contact the last pick of the draft, and turn him into a competent quarterback.. trevor Lawrence have one of the worst Ricky seasons ever Doug Peterson comes in and boom his second season compared to his rookie season was day and night.. look at sam DArnold, this season compared to his time with the Jets.. Baker mayfield now I can keep going on forever typing about this.. when we had a healthy saquon and jones last year we were 2-6 or 2-7 whatever.. basically it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that when Christian McCaffrey goes from Ben McAdoo‘s offense to Kyle Shanahan he looked like the best back in the league and when you give philly besides detriot the best O line in football and all those weapons he would look like an MVP type of player my grandma could’ve scouted saquon.. i still think Daboll is a good play caller and QB coach but he has NOO chance this GM is lost and purely by the book and a walking computer on hard knocks who is purposely tanking with half of the season left.. DJ is the scapegoat because Joe Shoen didn’t draft him well guess what you gave him this contract… this contract wasnt DJs fault… we paid what 12 million dollars for a fumbling back up, running back and someone to hold a clipboard in drew lock and devin Singletary

I don't know if that's a fair assessment. Fact of the matter is Xavier McKinney, Saquon Barkley were luxuries the Giants couldn't afford. X was solid but he just was paid too much by Green Bay. Also, Saquon spent six years in New York and in just 11-games surpassed his rushing yards high with NYG. He tried to resign Saquon but ultimately he felt his chances were better down 95 in Philly.

They'd have to release a QB to do it, but a hilarious outcome would be if the Eagles signed DJ as a backup QB, and reunite him with Saquon. It would barely be a change in QB style if the worst were to happen and Jones had to step in. A mobile, tough QB with escapability, unafraid of the long ball, but who has a tendency to hold the ball too long or stare receivers down.
