In my first playthrough, i just had this feeling. Then i watched the Cyberpunk edgerunners, and i realized that Adam Smasher isn't a mindless killing machine he didnt even want to kill the Kid in the show he even offered him the same deal he got but his deal was denied despitethe fact hes almost 100% mech hes still very aware of who he is and what and hasnt given into cyberpsychosis. This man was a part of the Great War and one of the very reasons their side won, its not a stretch to think that he did in fact know that you were present, but if his mind works the same way a computer does then his direct objectives were not to terminate bystanders but to protect his contractor. V or jackey not having their weapons and not seeming to be a threat, Adam would have no reason at all to attack. But if the two men were to be more observant of their environment, they would've noticed adam smasher going into defense mode

Well this is not exactly correct, in terms of the original ttrpg he is a cyberphycho by having 0 or under humanity, but this does not mean he will be a crazy murdering psychopath, instead cyberphychosis works differently for each person, yes some people to turn into a mindless killing machine but others are just amplified, or dulled versions of themselves, they are still the person they were before they got the mental disorder just a bit different.

old news , Adam knows you're there, its confirmed - If V and Jackie do not leave after Yorinobu, Takemura, and Smasher evacuate the suite, Smasher will return and compliment V for their bravery but insult them for their stupidity. He then severely wounds V with the bullets from his arm gun and finishes them off by stomping on V's head while Jackie panics. If V has the proper level and quickhacks, upon Adam Smasher returning to the penthouse, V is able to defeat him - but the game doesn't recognize this outcome.

My first time playing I knew Adam smasher was looking at me, this big ass cybernetic terminator has all the best features in the game plus he literally stares at you, the devil himself would shit his pants with that stare because I did.

I want to note that he only becomes red after he starts ducking to exit the elevator. He most likely has the threat detector augment too so as soon as you enter his vision his goes off which then causes yours to go off

I believe it man, when he walks in it's definitely like he "notices" you even though you're hidden from direct view, I always hated that part of the game, hiding in that small space with the walls appearing to be "see through" even though you supposedly can't be seen from outside.....super creepy, which I guess is exactly what they were going for lol 😅
