There is nobody else like him. Original,talented,captivating,classy & just unbelievably handsome. You can see so many other performers trying to copy so many of the things he did. But they will never be this good.

Max 820, you cannot put a timeline on the music from his albums up until “Vive le Rock.” If you played any of the first five albums he wrote for anyone who never heard him before, I doubt the would be able to pin an era to him. Same stands true for David Sylvian’s solo material.

Who has been trying to be like him or copy his thing? For me it's really hard to find but i would like to know.

1. I'd damn near KILL to have this on blu-ray, though I know it'll never be. 2. This would be a prime candidate for 3D conversion to show at movie theaters, eff that One Direction noise. I can dream, though, can't I?

First ever album that was bought for me was Boney M Night Flight to Venus. First ever album I ever had a say in was Kings of the Wild Frontier, I was 6 years years old of sorts. I remember the Prince Charming revue was a staple Christmas live event. My mum slated Boy George because he was a bloke that wore make up, however Adam Ant was gorgeous 😜

Yeah well Prince Charming was a bit patchy, Friend or Foe, Strip, Kings and Vive le Rock were brilliant. But Dirk is incredible. *****
@Sysperia8 жыл бұрын
disagree. i've liked all from kick forward.
@Dicedealer648 жыл бұрын
No Prince Charming was not patchy. It was polished. Not the raw sound of Kings. And Dirk was not his best. Kings was. I think Adam's fans say Dirk was because they are expected to by the original fans. Friend or Foe was brilliant as was his later work. Every album was different. Every album was unique. I never cared for Dirk. Overrated.
@Noodles37UK8 жыл бұрын
Nah i always loved and respected Dirk from scratch. I loved everything about it, the lyrics, the namechecks, the grimness. I got it when Prince Charming was released. I found a couple of songs like Mile High Club and That Voodoo not up to scratch, but it's just my opinion. After that his 3 solo albums were straightforward must haves. I'd put Here Comes The Grump and Human Bondage Den in my top 5. Sorry, Five Guns West as well. Dicedealer64
