LOVE this!! Adam is absolutely brilliant and this is a GREAT homage to Native Americans written by a British songwriter 🙏🏻🌹

I stumbled upon an old cassette tape in 1987 and listened on my boom box while painting a house. I couldn't understand ANY of the lyrics to "The Human Beings" but loved it anyway. Now 30 years later I wanted to hear it again but knew no lyrics, name of song or album. So i typed in Adam Ant Arapaho" and waalaah! Found it! There is also a live version where just after the song ends Adam says "They are human beings, and WE are the savages" Beautiful song Adam Ant! !

Nice upload, good sound. Probably the best track off their masterpiece, and one of my all-time faves. Ant and Pirroni were talented songwriters who were masters at creating quirky and offbeat Rock. Simply magic.

I had such a crush on this guy.....If I could've, I would've grabbed him off the stage and run away with him. SORRY Keith Richards, but Adam Ant is the true father of Jack Sparrow!! Ant Music and Ant People live on and strong!

LITTLE KNOWN FACT: Although a GREAT homage to Native American tribes, the song title was obviously lifted from the 1970 film "Little Big Man" with Dustin Hoffman about a white man raised by the Cheyennes. Chief Dan George refers to the Cheyennes as "the human beings" in the film. It's a CLASSIC film! Funny & sad. If you can find it, SEE IT! It's wonderful!!

I had mad respect 4 him and his fascination with the Native American culture at a time when diversity wasn't necessarily chic.. Used 2 sit in my bedroom and play this song over and over back in the day.. This was my s**t!..💕🎵

It was bugger all to do with diversity. There was a time when you actually acknowledge, and appreciate other cultures without being labelled.

I agree- in the 80s, this was respect! Now it would be considered cultural appropriation. I am glad I was young when this came out and was allowed to appreciate it, and him. LOVED this album- drove my family nuts! 😂

Me too and I'm Black Englishman whose eyes were ooened by this album! "I fwel beneath the White there is a Redskin suffering from centuries of taming"! Also their style had a lot to do with the late, great Malcolm McLaren and Lady Vivienne Westwood!❤

This song is a blessing to the Human Beings,, or the Blackfoot Pahwnee. Cheyenne, Crow, Apache, and Arapaho, to the Beat of the Heart. A cry out to the predicament bestowed upon them by Savages with evil intent,

Easily one of the greats. He played perfectly for a band with two drummers, a vocalist all over the place, and a pretty busy bass player; he found the sweet spot of not playing too much while making every note he played count.
