Can we see more about Sonarworks integration please? 🙃 Also is there auto sleep function?

I'm very curious to learn more about the A control software integration with sonaworks. I think it's a brilliant idea because it will solve many issues like latency. So I've been searching around to see this integration in action but I can't find any meaningful domenstration of it 6months after launch.

If you don’t have Sonarworks how do you even correctly and evenly set these only with your ears? Do you have specific reference track to use?
@ADAMAudioBerlin2 жыл бұрын
Hi Leiki! Reference tracks are a very personal thing. You have to find some tracks that work for you and become very familiar with them to use them as reference tracks. Better is to measure the loudspeaker using Room EQ Wizard or some other measurement software and then adjust the response as needed using the backplate controls or advance mode in A Control. Then use the reference tracks to confirm you did the right EQing.

Can you show a comparison between the A7V and A44H? Since they are priced very similarly I wonder which application favors which monitors!
@ADAMAudioBerlin2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Indeed they both are very similar in terms of price and frequency range. The main difference is the from. The new A44H has this low profile and it can be adapted to special places that the A7V wouldn't fit.

Hey there, will running sonar works on these speakers introduce latency like sonarworks systemwide does? I’d like to be able to record with a custom curve loaded. Thank you!
@ADAMAudioBerlin2 жыл бұрын
Hi Sam! Sonarworks as a plug-in has a long latency because it uses FIR filters. The A Series uses an FIR to IIR conversion which Sonarworks calculates for us, and this type of filter has no latency. A Series loudspeakers have a very short latency (

Would using a subwoofer affect how the embedded Sonarworks calibration go with a Sub? I assume there will eventually be a video guide showing the new A series embedded calibration with Sonarworks for 2.0 and 2.1 setups?
@ADAMAudioBerlin2 жыл бұрын
Hi WhiskyTanuki! For a system with a subwoofer, calibrate the loudspeakers using Sonarworks. Next, bring the subwoofer into the system in the normal way and adjust the level and phase as needed so the subwoofer integrates nicely into the system.

Would the A7V model be too much for a room size of 2.8 m x 2.2m? Would I be better with the A4V for this size of room?

What are the frequencies the backplate eq's work at?

What kind of subwoofer would be ideal for a Dolby Atmos set 7.1.4? So far planning to go for Left-Right A8H, Center A44H, Surrounds 4x A4V and Overheads 4x A4V. I would like a DSP subwoofer version of the Sub12/15.

Hi Dr.Noize! Unfortunately, we don't have a DSP Subwoofer, yet! But definitely, those two (Sub12 and Sub15) would be a great match for that system! Unless you want even more power and want to go for our big boy, the Sub2100!

Do they have regular active speakers? I mean for regular listening, not nearfield? I don't want a speaker that won't work from a distance. What is good? What do you reccommend?

why are most speakers cut below 50-40 Hz ? Why isn't it 20 Hz ?
@ADAMAudioBerlin2 жыл бұрын
Hi aenimatek! In theory, a tweeter can play down to 20 Hz but in practice, it will not play loud enough to be audible. To have sufficient bass level to be useful, one needs bass drivers mounted in a cabinet. The size of the bass driver and the cabinet limit how deep a loudspeaker plan play. Additionally, if you want to play loud at low frequencies large bass drivers and cabinets are needed. This is why subwoofers are usually used to get down to 30 Hz and lower.
@fredEVOIX7 ай бұрын
not an audio pro at all but I heard it also has to do with room size and treatment that makes very low frequencies not work right also as an ex car audio person to get super low Hz well we had car trunk sized cabinets with extremely large woofers for a reason you won't get that in a small monitor

I need help... I was debating between the T7V and the A7X because price difference wasn't too bad.... big but not too bad. And I noticed they are now discountinued. So, for someone staring his home recording system and getting his first pair of monitors... are the A7V's overkill being that they are twice the price? Would I really benefit of the $1000 difference or would the T7V's be more then enough?
@ADAMAudioBerlin2 жыл бұрын
Hi Joey! In addition to the A Series being a higher quality product range in all areas, these are quite different products in that the A Series is networked controlled. The new implemented technologies make the A Series be way better than the T one. This doesn't mean that the T Series is a bad series. Indeed, if you are starting in this music industry world, the T series would be ideal.

Sorry late to the party. I bought the T7v's and a short time later picked up the A5x's used. The latter are far better. The T7v are good but the A5x sound was almost holographic. Mind you, I use a sub with a high pass to the monitors so no comparison to the bass range between the two.
