@williamdowling77189 ай бұрын
@@NoahSBD I could be wrong, because I have no access to the underlying code that KZbin runs on. But I have noticed the same thing multiple times. And as a developer, I have a vague idea of what information is available in the code when you scroll to the comments, and when you post a comment. I'm just guessing, but I would imagine that your KZbin app (whether on mobile or in the browser) is paying attention to the current timestamp of the video you're watching currently, and if you leave a comment at a certain point during the video, metadata could be stored in that comment that indicates the timestamp of the video at the point the comment was made. Then when someone else is watching the video, and they scroll to the comments around the same timestamp, the comments displayed could be sorted or weighted or prioritized according to the comments that were left around the same timestamp. This could help boost engagement by amplifying the appearance that other people also saw what you saw when you saw it, and thus is more likely to spur discussion. As opposed to the comments all being sorted only by time the comment was made... I think that would necessarily spread out the comments about certain parts of the video. Could be wrong though.

I burst into tears when you gave the score sheet to Hina Hayata's coach. Something about that interaction was just so moving. Thank you for this incredible video, Adam!

That was a B E A utiful exchange. If I didn’t have a heart of ice, I too would’ve shed at least a tear 😂😂. What an amazing keepsake for Adam to have treasured *AND* had the presence of mind, not just to take it with him to RSA but to seek out Hina Hayata’s coach and give both the scoresheet and his feelings when watching the match live (I mean as it happened, don’t know if he saw it in person, sorry 🤷)😅

Agreed very enjoyable KZbin channel. And respect that he does in a way that also makes it interesting for non club players. But he overeddits quite often in my opinion unfortunately like the game point sounds and etc do not fit the theme of the video or atleast the tense moment. Makes sense in his for fun matches but not when he is trying to make the moment tense.

It would be so awesome, if the ITTF would put the same amount of effort in organizing a really great tournament as you do in creating your videos. The world championships felt like a regular WTT-Event, there was nearly no atmosphere and it was hard to figure out where to watch the matches...You do an amazing job, promoting table-tennis all over the world. Unfortunately the ITTF doesn´t.

@Adambobrow I havent played for about 20+ years until I found your channel as it sparked my interest again and a recent Alaksan cruise with my nephews started to get me playing again as they had tables. I bought new paddles but there are limited places to play in the SF bay California area. May have to buy a table soon! 🏓 You do awesome work 🐍 man!

Thanks a ton! Thrilled to hear that. You’ll be happy to know that the Bay Area is the MECCA for table tennis in the US. Most of the national champions have come from there in the last decade and there are tons of clubs there to play at. Many people actually move there to train and because of how strong and plentiful the table tennis scene is😁🥳
