That's how car guys should behave. Just chill out, give people time to look at your car, show that you are respectful with the machine and the people around (although a small acceleration can be enjoyable if it is safe to do so) Hopefully this will make a good impression to non-car people telling them that we just want to have a good time living our passion. And if you still want to burn some rubber it's fine, either go on a track or in some remote place where you're not bothering anybody. Or let's all end up with meets full of people like that Seat, I'm sure this would be fun

It's not a new phenomenon, but one of the issues is the cars available with big power available on finance to inexperienced drivers. Years ago you mostly got 1 litre Fiestas with about 80bhp, so burnouts had to be done by everyone pushing on a car. Now an S3 is available to someone pretty young with 300+bhp weighing about double of a 1990s Fiesta. Yes better brakes suspension, but at least with less power you can't get fast. Car meets here in third world country is very different. A bunch of rich people park their cars in private property and they charge an entry fee. There's food and beer. And then you go home. A nice family Sunday.

Couldn't agree more. There is nothing worse than pop and bang maps. My car has wee burbles and pops occasionally but that's purely as standard. The maps ruin every car there on.
@toxicmasculinity78704 жыл бұрын
That’s cause these are low horsepower cars and the owners are tryna market (lack of a better term) as high horsepower track monsters. Come on over to the US, those pops and bangs actually sound good here and are there for a legitimate reason

The cops are too busy stopping all the minor offences, ie: a little too loud muffler, etc. They should let the minor shit slide and be more present at these meets to deter idiots like that drink driver. Rather than chasing every slight down the road.

I was at a street drift type meet end of 2019 where a man was drunk driving his fwd car with his kid in the car, yes a young kid in a child seat in his car, people snatched his keys and actually called the police to come and arrest the man, i guess they took the kid to a family member or something. I think this is probably the wisest move to make when someones drunk driving or just driving like an absolute dickhead
