I am almost 64 and remember like yesterday, the All Night Gospel Sings my parents took us to during the 1960's in Jackson, MS. Coming from a very strict household, and SBC which was extremely restrictive to children, Gospel singing was enlightening, exciting, powerful and revealed to us that worship could be FUN! There was no "air" of baseness or crudeness present and all races were welcomed and worshiped together. It was wonderful to be a part of a worship service where people clapped, whistled, sang along, and hollered in accompanying the onstage worship. We joined in worship in a different way than what was possible in our local church services. Later, my Mother broke with SBC and actually attended different denominations' worship services which were "on fire" for the Lord. King David danced in worship of Jehovah in Old Testament scripture, and many didn't understand his way of worship either. Let me say, when the Lord sets you free, you are free indeed! And that freedom includes JOY, PEACE and LOVE overflowing in magnificent and unending quantities. Thank you King Jesus for making it all possible!

Let us have a little talk with Jesus. This hymn brings back many memories. I grew up attending a Pentecostal church in Parma, Idaho. We sang this one, and many old-fashioned hymns. Love the old hymns. I love Jesus. He hears our every cry. A talk with Jesus. Thank God for talks with The Trinity. How wonderful, how magnificent, to talk with The king of kings and the Lord God almighty. Thank God for The Holy Spirit and the joy that he fills us with. Thank God and Jesus for salvation, for wisdom, for loving us, for everything that is good.

Tim Riley is such a gracious Christian gentleman. If I were in his shoes I'd look at Ray and be like "You're not even in my league, fella." No bass like Tim. Tim with his false hair, and Ray with his false teeth. Hahahaha
