That's a great song beautifully sung...you need to do a special film for her song.

Brilliant video. It’s interesting, because initially I loved your cinematics, but this barely had any, and it was one of my favourite videos you’ve done. Keep it up, Adam.

Thanks Iain. That’s probably the best feedback I could get. There’s plenty of scenic shots to come on the Dalton Highway.

You had 2 tubes? You can make patches from one of them if that happens again. Scuff the patch really well, make sure it's clean and dust free and put adhesive on both the tube and the patch and it should last as long as any other patch.

I did just that but to no avail. They just weren't sticking.

Awesome video. May I reccomend when or if you get a wheel rebuild Dt swiss tk540 rims or rigida grizzly/andra which are cheaper with either Dt swiss Alpine or triple butted spokes. Heavier but tough. They wont crack or break. The spokes are stainless and very affordable. Aim for 36 spokes or more. at sjscycles.co.uk they can build you up to a 48 spoke rear wheel. Tk540 rims are all I ever use now I've only broke one rim to never want to again. It was an Alex rims on my croix de fer. Wheel cost between 250 and 300 for rear. Rohloff is also a good gear system but it's over 1000 pounds unless you get a second hand one. The only gears that cannot break people have covered 300,000km on one hub. One of four of my bikes have one. I almost never ride my derailleur bikes now as I save over 350 pounds a year on replacement drivechain components

Thanks for the tips. I won’t be in the the UK for quite a while so I’ll have to make do with what I’ve got for now. There’s plenty of options on the US though. Rohloffs have a great reputations or good reason but they’re not completely safe from braking. I know world bike tourists that have broken them in the worst possible places (I believe Stephen Fabes went through 3 on his world tour). At the moment I’d rather drop a grand on the journey than a rohloff but if money wasn’t an issue I could see the benefits.
@shaneruddock-pedallingtheg81145 жыл бұрын
@@AdamHugill agreed I'm not saying get one specifically I just love the rims hugely and amazed at how far sjs deliver free. I've never broke anything dt swiss especially not a triple butted spoke it's a tad harsher ride though

Dude, I thought u were supposed to b a ex squaddie & a Rupert @that, pppppp, prior planning prevents u know the rest, flying by seat of ur pant, if ur luck hold u’ll b ok if not, 300k to next town, u might wanna invest in a nu back wheel couple tyres, spares, and plenty o tubes, pref slime tubes, no need to fix’m self sealing, don’t forget ur roots, & I don’t mean trees, nice vid though, stay lucky

You couldn’t be more right. I got lazy and didn’t plan ahead but it did lead to some fantastic experiences.
