I am from a country that doesn't have 5g yet and I mainly use my phone for KZbin, social media apps and very rarely some gaming so for me a great looking screen with great battery life is the most important thing. I also don't take too many photos so for me the 4g variant is the better choice mainly because of that AMOLED screen.

Nice analysis and comparison details, Lobo. Although it's apparent that the 4g version is better, sometimes it's also about user preference. Some users dont use mobile for gaming, maybe more towards internet usage such as yt vids, apps usage and browsing. I think the 5g version would suit them better (with the hope of 5g will reach soon), even if the 5g technology is yet to come, it's no problem since this phone still can be used in future whenever 5g is here. This is mainly because some people dont want to spend to upgrade just because we need to keep up with technology, and they are the type would keep using the current mobile phone as long it is not broken. So, in the event 5g is up, they dont have to scratch their head looking for a new phone.

Thanks for your feedback buddy, from my humble opinion, yes, 5G is future proofing the device but at this point of time in Malaysia, you will need to stand next to a 5G antenna in order to get the fast speeds which at this point is totally redundant, as for daily usage as you mention most average people don’t care about crazy performance on their phones, the ones who really care are the ones who will go out and buy a flagship instead. I agree with most of what you said and I have a similar opinion 4G is a better deal overall. However Here in India, 5G variants comes with a Dimensity 810 processor, whereas the 4G comes with a G96 processor. Processor being the heart & Brain of a phone, the 5G processor is definitely better in both performance(atleast 15-20%) & battery backup.

Hey Adam, have you tested this miui? I found several bugs with poco M3 pro. Bugs like app lock getting reset everytime. So the apps you put under app lock magically becomes available for all.

Camera module bump on 4g is unnecessary (making it less practical for real life when phone drops) Also I can't stand AMOLED and prefer 5G variant. Another push off from 4g is that you get less performance processor. And lastly 5G comes with 90hz refresh rate display which is must have.

what about video? why didnt you say that? the 4g phone can only shoot at 1080p 30 fps..the other one can go 60 fps...isnt it so?? So if you want to adjust a bit of speed in your videos, its impossible for the 4g variant..my 5 year old redmi note 5 pro shoots at 1080p 60 and 4k 30 amoled is cool..if you want to spend half your life staring into a mobile screen..also the display brightness is better for the amoled when you are outside.. dont the dimensity 810 in the 5g varianty drain less battery than the helio G96, also isn't the temps much cooler than the helio??

Haven’t tried that yet buddy but we are looking at two different chipset and it’s 12nm against 6nm so you would probably have a better experience on the 5G version specifically for Genshin Impact because of that 🙂

Sound Audio and voice quality is very poor during calls. Vibration is very low when incoming calls and notifications. While driving I missed many important calls and notifications. I ll use as a Only secondary basic feature phone (POCO M4 PRO 4G 6GB 128GB) Because a good battery with fast charging, and good display. Note: I ll ask for return and refund for this worst product, they ll not respond. Mi, Xiaomi, Poco fans kindly consider and check ear piece voice call quality then compare with basic feature phone. Don't waste money and effort, then u decide. I am using this mobile 7+days Sure I ll send this too all youtuber's and all social medias too Hate flipcart why not refund, only option for replacement.
