This is body doubling for me as an ADHDer. I cleaned while you did, thank you. I will ALWAYS watch this loose form content of your day to day whenever you feel like sharing. Also, my mom has two frenchies. They both have issues with resource guarding food and other dogs. Training once a week for 3 months helped her dogs soooo much with those behaviors. You can find good training online as well. But yeah, they eat separately and avoid dogs on walks, sometimes that’s just the solution! ❤

The fit is so cute ✨ I had a dog just like Bonnie. Same breed and everything and also reactive. Training did help a bit but it didn’t change my dog he still didn’t like other dogs or any animal. What it did was help me know how to help him. Like how to distract him, and rewarding not reacting, that kind of thing, our walks became much more peaceful, he was less stressed out for sure.

Adam, I am from Tennessee originally. Born and raised in the Appalachian mountains and let me tell you something, those mountains call for you. One of the oldest mountain ranges in the world. I still love that area despite not living there now and despite some of the people there. It is a beautiful place.

Bonnie is comfortable with Dolly because they're bonded. Giving her treats when she has a good interaction with a new dog could help establish in her tiny brain that being good with strangers is okay. She also seems territorial with you so reacting to someone else playing with you is totally jealousy and it is absolutely okay to ignore her passively. Maybe pet her to reassure her you know she is there, but don't give her all of your attention like avoiding eye contact or saying her name. It's like showing her that it is okay you are giving attention to someone else. If she still reacts then its true jealousy and I'd say be happy to be so loved 😂

@ I didn’t mean all the time just in that moment. I’ve been working with animals for years. It’s good to show them it’s okay to give attention to someone else to deter from territorial behavior. She gets 99% of his attention I think a little bit less will be fine. Especially to fix behavioral issues, vets say it all the time when it comes to specifically territory issues.

Hey Adam! I’ve worked with dogs for over 8 years now! One of my girls are also animal agressive to any animal besides household ones. I wasn’t able to get rid of that trait in her but what I was able to do was train a very strong recall. So if the seagull issue ever happened or you saw the bird land on your balcony before your pup did you could get her to focus and recall on you. It’s not always fool proof but it has helped for me! Hope that made sense! 😊

Those drinks are especially good gor people prone to missing a meal. Like my diabetic husband. His medicine makes it hard for him to eat sometimes so the drinks with vitamins, etc have been a godsend. 👍

A great way to train your dog to not freak out when they see other animals/dogs is to give a treat everytime the turn their face towards the animal. You have to do it before it barks at it. Then you train your dog to turn its head towards you everytime its sees something that freak it out.

Hello! I’ve worked with dogs since I was 15 and work with rescue dogs for a living. With Bonnie she is likely just reactive to other animals, training for her depends on how it effects your life. If you struggle to walk her without her reacting or day to day is stressful for her I would recommend getting a trained professional to work with who used positive reinforcement to help 😊 but please do background checks on these people and look at reviews, you don’t want someone to make her worse or punish her for her reactivity ❤
