I passed my test yesterday on the first try. I used Xcel to learn, after completing the prelicensing course there is a cram course with cliff notes available and it has loads of review questions per chapter. The cliff notes do a great job on focusing what's actually on the test vs reading all the useless crap the prelicensing course had you read 😅. I basically brute forced my way thru the prelicensing without reading much and using Quizlet to help me pass the chapter reviews. The cliff notes/review+ memorizing key words+ Quizlet is what helped me the most

@@Darius-nm1xs typed the questions in on Google. Quizlet results pop up click the link and find the questions/answers you are looking for. Sometimes it may take a few different clicks but most of the time the first one is right

Testing Tomorrow afternoon! Pray for me please yall. Been studying for 2 weeks 10 hrs a day. Best tip is (like adam said) take as many practice tests and end of chapter exams as possible. I wrote down the answers I got wrong from each test and FOCUSED on them. Also listening to the lectures helps the information get into you subconscious mind. Last tip, go with your first answer because this is your subconscious mind giving you the right answer! Your conscious mind will second guess and try and make you pick the second answer. I just want to say a big thank you! I just passed my exam for Oklahoma yesterday. I don’t think I could of without your advice. It took me two tries, the second go around I feel like was much harder questions but I did it. Your advice is spot on. I kept stressing over needing to know every single term, but realistically it’s too much information to know in a short amount of time. Quizlet and taking practice tests and going over the “key facts” over and over really helped.

I now have my license in life and health, and property and casualty in the state of Oklahoma and same advice… Study the key facts and quizlet. Took me 2 days of studying to pass each after using this tactic.

@@MmaPods My employer enrolled me in examfx. I would suggest having something to study even with quizlet. Quizlet helped with the memorizing but you do need to know your materials as well.

We are more prepared than we think we are, Take it as soon as you can and I am pretty sure you will pass, and if you don't for some reason go for it again don't wait to take advantage of your knowledge while it's still fresh. Let us know how you make out and if I could help I'm defiantly up for it . Right now I'm finding whether to go captive or not don't go with the first guy that offers you a job that's my experience

Thank you for this helpful advice! I took my MS state exam last week and failed by 11 points (Need 65% to pass in state of MS). I have been studying for months and have printed out numerous flashcards and notes...I have been using quizzlet and feel the match games and tests are helping me more than the stuff i printed. I have not re scheduled exam as of yet due to me not feeling prepared enough...but will do so in the upcoming weeks. Thank you!

I would take the tests as many times as possible and if you pass each time then it's time to go take the real test. You may not feel ready but just try to take it anyway. No reason to waste more time studying just to study

Hey Adam, I was hired by Symmetry as well. I live in Wyoming and have done the online training with XCEL. Designed to "help you to pass" well, I have taken the exam, for the second time and have not passed! Was told by my peers the exam is 150 questions. Not true or are the XCEL Solutions simulated Wyoming final exam questions! Both life and health are 100 questions each, not 150! Understand the wording may be different, but were questions I have never seen on the XCEL's simulated exam... perhaps you can guide me on this.

Go through the flash cards designed in quizlet, then take the practice exams until you feel extremely confident you'll pass. Hope that helps Shawn! Let me know if you have any questions

Same situation here 😞 failed 3 times, each exam was so different, the first time my exam questions were 150 second time was 150 and the third one was 160.. I was 8 score away from passing😞 passing score was 105 and I was at 97.. taking another one next week, atleast we’re not giving up and keep trying !

Potentially. It's user generated content so if it's not there, you can create your own. It's a pain but it's worth it in my opinion

Adam … nice tips… I’m already licensed in RE and have helped coached mentors others in RE. Since I’ve had a lot of RL exp w/ health insurance, looking to get licensed in GA. I assume you have to prior attend so many hrs in a course before being eligible to take the Health & Life exam?

Yeah, same deal with insurance. I personally think all solo real estate agents should also be insurance agents. Lots of carry over and such an easy thing to learn

Some of them are the exact same questions. Others are variations of the questions.

Crazy; I took it the first time and failed so so badly (I didn't really study too well) but taking it my second this coming Sunday! Without even watching this video I've been heavily using quizlet for the reason it's the only thing that's actually broken things down on top of it prometric gives an outline of what's going to be on the exam so I hand wrote every single one of those out and have just been going through and writing out the definitions and other details down each three times I am so sure I will at least get a passing 70 this time. I mostly wanted to check this out to see if I'm doing it right 😂😂

Hey man I'm not sure if you will see this but I'm taking my exam in about a week, and I need a few tips if you can provide that. Will I take the test in a designated location or is it from my computer? If I fail the first time how soon can I retake? How many questions are on the Exam? And finally are paying for leads really worth it?

I took the test at home however I'm not sure if that was just for because of c19. I believe you can retake it within a day or two. I believe 100 questions and yes leads are always worth it.

Hi there Adam, I'm looking into becoming a life insurance agent in the state of Texas, I have no experience in this, I'm currently an arcade attendant in a mall making 9 an hour, and simply want better for myself. How much all together would you say the startup cost would be? I know the courses are like 150 and up, but also there's applying for the license, test and fingerprinting, E&O, AML, filing for an LLC, etc.. I'm trying to be cautious jumping in with no experience and don't want to fall into a hole that I won't be able to dig myself out of, any advice you can give there is greatly appreciated. That's a good question. It's one of the cheaper licenses (compared to real estate or mortgage). I would say under $300. The other thing you'll want to look at is your investment when you become an agent. Do you have to invest in your own leads? Does the company you want to work for offer free leads? Ultimately, you have to bet on yourself if you want to be successful so I would take the leap. If you need any help, let me know Phoebe!

I am going to try this with the Quizlet because I purchased the Exam FX and have been using it for over a week now. I am sorry but it is entirely too much information to consume and properly digest at once. I do not like to crunch or cram. But my hands and fingers hurt so much from writing, that I wore myself out. Took the Simulated Exams a few times, but the litany of questions change every time and I feel like no matter how much information I write down, once I have taken the simulated exam, the questions are foreign to me. Extremely frustrating. Not at all happy with this . Therefore, I will alter my method of study and acquisition. Then see if my cerebral activity receives, retains, processes and stores the information into my memory bank in a different capacity. I am with you all on the journey. I can relate to your pain and frustration. But hopefully, more of us will soon be doing our academic dance of victory in no time. Showtime.

Okay, you mentioned listening to it in the background, but how did you do this with Xcel? It's all reading material.. Also, how did you get through the 52 hours of pre-licensing education in 4 days? I've been working on this for about 3 weeks, and I'm struggling getting through it. I'm also set up to work with Symmetry.

If I remember correctly, all you have to do is take the quiz at the end of each section to pass that section. So I skipped everything and went straight to the quizzes

Taking the exam at home was a C-19 thing. Now you have to go to a testing center in order to pass the exam. Thanks for helping even though I popped in two years too late.

@@mistijk- I just started about a week ago. My recruiter gave me links to their own pre licensing testing via Facebook. You may want to ask who recruited you. More than likely you can ask around if your recruiter can't provide you with answers.

Taking it at home was definitely nice but it's still the same exam. I felt more watched doing it online actually because it is one proctor looking at one student. There were multiple times I had my hand on my chin thinking and he told me to move my hand.

You’ll have to do the pre-licensing which has a lot of the exams which is what I did the majority of time. Most of the exams are on quizlet too which is nice

I did start with Symmetry as a new agent. I have no clue about NYL to be honest. I actually don't think company matters as much as the team/leader when just starting out. I would look for a leader/mentor who is an exceptional teacher and has done the thing or taught the thing you want to achieve. I find most people are attracted to high earners but sometimes high earners are horrible leaders or just can't teach, mentor or cultivate culture well...
