I love that you have a channel! When you mentioned lifts, I thought of my favorite skating pair Morgan Cipres & Vanessa James-the music for their routine, was a cover of The Sound of Silence by I think Disturbed? They are both in black costumes, and this was probably 2 years ago ( about your Olympic time!). Anyway, I’m sure you have seen it, but given your schedule, maybe not-I know NOTHING about skating, too old anyway (lol 54 yr old Nana) but that performance was breathtaking. I go back now & then to re- watch it-just beautiful. And, btw, Adam, I love everything about you! You are who you are, and the fact that you know it and own it at such a relatively young age is admirable. (No emojis because I have a new iPad and where are they??!) Last thing, which will make you laugh (I think) Right after the Olympics, I saw you say something on Twitter, which I didn’t have and know nothing about, but it was sad because you were talking about mean tweets to you. So, here I went, signed up for Twitter, tried to post a positive message to your account, TWICE, made some sort of mistake, and got a mean email from Twitter saying I violated the rules and they suspended my account. Omg. Have. Not. Tried. Again. Our daughters (26 & 29) could help, I guess, but not gonna ask.:):). LOVED you on DWTS, too! Last, in the interest of full transparency, I do support the President in many ways-economy, jobs, etc... but that doesn’t mean I don’t support YOU. I wish you, your boyfriend, & your family all the happiness and success in the world! Because in my view, no matter the race, gender, orientation, beliefs-they all just fit into 2 categories-Good ppl & Crappy ppl. And I’m too old (haha) to fool with the Crappy ppl. OK - question about the twizzle: what are you doing that is different than just spinning in one spot - what are you doing with your foot that allows you to continue forward motion and spin at the same time?

It's basically many many many three turns in a row

Some like to warm up with consecutive double three turns and then speed them up to turn them into twizzles. Other skaters find that they are on the flat of their blade and the turns aren't a huge part of it, just the rotational part of it. What you really need to remember is to rock back and forth from the front of the blade to the back, unlike spinning where you use the front of the blade

I went to an open skate and there were some figure skaters and we would cheer for them while they practiced and they would just mug us!! They totally scared me and I was so nervous to skate after that! They would skate around and judge the regular skaters. It was disappointing. I really wanted to approach them and ask for some simple tips but I was like I'll wait for Adam to teach me lol

What Adam and Meryl were doing were twizzles. Swizzles are totally different. I'm not going to explain swizzles here (what you were told is probably correct). Swizzles are a basic beginner move - twizzles, not so much!
