My grandfather was 'Old Man Adams's, literally. W loved that commercial, and teased him about it ( he was really sweet)

I loved this commercial when it first came out in the 60s - "Ooh, Mr. Adams!" The tune has stuck in my head ever since. One of many commercials that relied on the Beach Boys sound.

I thought so, too, and it might have been him. I remember this commercial and it was a fave of mine with the singing and music.

Anyone remember Chum Gum? It was sold in a confectionary store next to my parochial school -- along with about a thousand other "sinful" treats like gumballs, Southies and Kits. Chum Gum came three pieces for 2 cents and it was awful, like boards but the price was right...banana is the only flavor I recall...gumballs had a shelf life of about a century but you couldn't hide them in your mouth from the nuns...Kits also sold in movies...four or five bite-size pieces in a pack for a nickel...chocolate, strawberry and banana.
