I played SUNFLOWER earlier this year as a freshman in highschool. Was super difficult and had to spent 4 months staying after school almost every single day to get it as good as possible. I got a 1 at district and state Solo and ensemble with it. Performed it at the percussion concert, and have been told by many people that they cried to my performance. So while Sunflower will probably always be my favorite. We gotta remember that Adam Tan has made 14 masterpieces in his time as a composer.

I’m so glad that you think so highly of skyward it is one of my FAVORITE pieces of yours and I agree that it is completely slept on. It always surprises me when I watch it and see that the views are so much lower than some of the other pieces because I think it’s awesome.

damn adam it's interesting how we have such different takes on your works, I'd rank together as one of your best works as well as dream, they're very expressive and well-written. i actually don't care for lotus that much lol :p maybe it's a taste thing
