being on the west coast these pastures are like fantasy Island, every pasture I've seen out here is over grazed to the point you wonder why there even out there, it's just dirt, people just don't have 100 acres to rotate . need to get out of here

I figure you just use breeds that don't root so far down. Idaho pasture pigs only root a few inches

they're only a problem if you leave them to long and they create heavy compaction. If they just dig around a few areas they are adding texture to the land and helping to germinate more plant species. especially helpful in a mature sod forming grass like fescue to increase plant diversity.
