I'm 62 , in years past I had back surgery also swollen hands fingers much joint pain. I love Keto or carnivore actually. I workout with weights but soreness gets better quickly. In my 40s I was told I'm full of arthritis I'll need meds . Hog wash I needed a diet change.

Thank you Dr for this information. KETO is the only diet that has ever worked for me. I'm in my 60's , been diagnosed with insulin resistance, have arthritis and metabolic syndrome. I have lost 6kg in 1 month which is fantastic BUT the best side effect has been I have not had to take any pain relief for the past 2 weeks and the itchy skin that I had every night when I went to bed has gone!!! Such a relief. I also follow "Keto with Casey" a friend of yours. She too is such an inspiration. God bless you Doctor.

I hope for a similar result. Diagnosed last summer from a CT scan showed a severe fatty liver, started keto in August, lost all the weight in 2 months and have kept it off now for 8 months. Got off all 4 high BP meds. I have another CT scan in July and hope to find the severe fatty liver is gone.

I was told that I needed hip replacement surgery over a year ago. I have been following keto eating for almost a year and my hip feels 90 percent better. My doctor thinks the improvement is because I lost 35 lbs. But I also think it is the reduction of inflammation, taking collagen supplements, and eating more protein.

This video resonates with my experience. Been keto for 4 years. At 62, cystic acne gone, eczema gone, joint pain gone. I enjoy the mental clarity, weight loss and normal blood sugars. Thankful too for the weight loss. I would have never believed this was possible until it was confirmed by my own experience. The frustrating thing is how difficult it is to convince others to try it. It sounds too difficult and too good to be true. I hope the ongoing research will add credence to difference keto can make. If we ate properly our whole society would be healthier.

I lost all the weight in the first 2 months and have kept it off for 8 months now living the keto lifestyle. So clearly I haven't been doing keto for these months to lose weight. I do keto to get rid of my severe fatty liver diagnosed my a CT scan last summer along with severe coronary calcification (CAC test number of 474). Oh, and I had skin tags that just disappeared.

@@majahorvat7294 My comment was from 2 years ago and I had a CAC scan scheduled for last June but it was canceled so I don't know if it came down. Maybe I'll get one this summer.

I am a slow loser (lost 50lb in 10 months) compared to other ketoers. But the amount of improvement on my mental health actually surprised me. I had no idea how badly off I was until I got better. I honestly thought I had a genetically broken brain that was getting worse with age😂 The only regret I have is that I didn't start the keto lifestyle sooner😒

My asthma has gone away. I may technically still have asthma, but it has reduced so much as to be hidden. Forget all the other huge improvements, this alone is worth the "price of admission" for me. I started low carb and IF at the same time, 2 years ago, so I've never experienced just low carb or just IF.

Thank you for a very informative talk. My joint pain has disappeared and I would have lower back pain after doing minor chores and would have to stop and rest. That has also disappeared! I’ve lost 21 lbs thus far but told my husband even if I don’t lose anymore weight, I won’t go back because of how good I feel!

I listen to many keto physicians. I think the key to change is more conference so regular physicians who may not keep up in their research reading can hear the truth.

A childhood friend died of fatty liver disease . . . never got the help she needed to change her course. So sad. My cousin also died of sepsis but her underlying problem was fatty liver disease . . . made a big deal about it not being from alcoholism because we have more than our fair share of alcoholics in our family.

I would love to hear more about how “keto” helps migraine. I have chronic migraine including vestibular migraine.

Danielle. I had awful migraines all last summer. My doctor just said it was the heat and pushed me on to strong codeine. However, 7 months on keto...migraines all gone. Dr now says...well maybe they just went but I said I had eliminated carbohydrates and he says, yes OK, that would help too. It is I believe the inflammation from carbohydrates that cause so many issues. I simply decided I had nothing to lose and all to gain...and thus I have. GERD has gone, weight way down, blood pressures normal again, cholesterols better than ever and blood sugars way better too. Hope you fix the migraines :)

Noticed before low carb that I was more likely to have migraines following high sugar events in evenings. No migraines when following low carb. (About 1yr)

Yes!!! KETO RASH is HELL! It's like having poison ivy on top of a sunburn! It burns and itches terribly and it's painful when scratched. I've tried antihistamines, Cortisone creams, Benadryl cream, Epsom salt baths. Nothing makes this rash go away. I am currently taking a Histamine Block capsule with my food in hopes that maybe this will help with any food sensitivities to nuts, seeds, or dairy. I had hiccups the first week on Keto until my body adjusted to the fat. The rash broke out after the second week. I did add 6-8 baby carrots to my diet and it seemed to take the intensity of the itch down, but the rash remains to this day. I, too, would appreciate ANY HELP to rid this problem. Aside from this, I love Keto and that my long-term Fibromyalgia is gone! When I first started Keto, I was very strict about my carb intake, so I wondered if I went into ketosis too quickly.
