i wholeheartedly agree. "Rawstyle" nowadays is just silly clown music in a sense, with that constant kickroll malarkey, 30 different kickdrums constantly switching back and forth, all packed into absolutely abysmal downsampled track lengths of _2_ minutes being called an "extended mix", and with close to zero atmosphere compared to the raw sound circa 2011-2015~:ish. It actually made me a bit sad just thinking about it.

I wholeheartedly disagree. I think you're being unfair to contemporary acts like Kruelty, or a lot of people on Spoon tech. I think a lot of Radical Redemption kick design is amazing these days. I feel like all eras of raw are valuable in their own respective ways

@@mz6055 adaro closing defqon 2015 might be my favorite set of all time. i just miss the power in raw kicks. That bass face filthy kick. Listening to “the dark mix” from qlimax made me realize new kicks didnt get harder.. just more weird😂
