some people say that listening to audiobooks isn’t “reading” real books. in my opinion, that’s really ableist. not everyone can read with their eyes, but they can with their ears. personally, i love reading on an ereader because it’s more comfortable to do so in bed. also I fall asleep reading physical books because there’s no backlight & you know I wanna read for hours

I love my Kindle Paperwhite, too! It's perfect for travel or if I want to read at night with the lights off. I recommend signing up for Bookbub: they email you deals on genres that you indicate interest in. My bookish goal this year is to write a Goodreads review for all of the books I read, so I can later reflect on how I felt a out each book. Also, to start diversifying my reading genres more. 💕

Slayer is basically a spin-off of Buffy, with the same world but original characters. There’s a recap in the beginning for those who haven’t read the comics or watched the show. Slayer is not Buffy canon but it is set in the same world.

I have like 30+ books on readig list. Books like Darker shade of magic, Trials of Apollo, Magnus Chase, Throne of glass, 18Q4, Illuminae files, After and so many more and idk how to even start. Sadly most of books I have to read trough my phone cause here in Croatia most books aren"t translated and we don"t have bookstores with books in english. But yeah most of those are from your channel and I am so thankful for it😊

Last of her name is indeed a sci-fi retelling of the Romanov family and the lost princess Anastasia! You were correct. I love how they spilt the names- Princess Anya, but then the girl who ends up being the princess is Stasia.

A lot of these books sound really interesting and I hope you enjoy them when you read them! We're in the process of trying to sell our house and we also need to declutter EVERYTHING. We took down a lot of our bookshelves and now have around 30 boxes of books and honestly we need to unhaul some of them for a lot of reasons. My dad isn't a fan of the whole physical book thing anymore for a whole bunch of reasons, but because of that we all have ereaders and honestly I wasn't sure I liked it at first (I got mine back in 2011 and it's ancient now by new kindle standards but I love it - kindle keyboard (I don't think they even make those anymore haha)) but now I LOVE it. You can have an entire library of books in one place that you can take with you anywhere in the world and that's so cool to me. But yeah I definitely hate that people shame others for how they read. Honestly if you're consuming a book in whatever form and you're enjoying it, that's all that matters. And I'm glad you're enjoying the one you got! Good luck with your decluttering goals for the year and all of your other goals!

for slayer u should watch buffy the vampire slayer cause you will understand a lot and buffy is awesome all together ! i already read the book and a lot of stuff they do is because of buffy

YES SLAYER 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 You're sooooo lucky that people send you books 📚 i'm so jealous!! Slayer is set in the same Universe but follows different characters. Buffy is mentioned but not actually in it herself. I want this book SO bad😂♥️

Idk if anyone already answered but slayer takes place after season 8 (which is the comic continuation of the show) so there are spoilers of all seasons of buffy tv show + first season of comics. you don't really need to know prior seasons to read the book tho

I was just at a Kiersten White signing. You don't have to have watched Buffy to understand what's going on, one of the characters is also new to the world. This book takes place after the Buffy show ends.

I just read on Goodreads that The Cold in her Bones is supposed to be a Medusa retelling/origin story :) might make the synapsis a bit more understandable :D :D And Sky without Stars apparently is a sci-fi Les Miserables retelling

You don't have to watch Buffy to read Slayer (although you should because it's amazing haha). It's a spin-off with completely different characters that takes place after season 8 of Buffy (there are 7 seasons in the shows and then more in comic form). I believe there are references and Buffy appears at some point, but Kiersten said you can read it on its own

I want to accomplish one of my reading goal by reading 10 books each month, and for the month of Janurary I have read 13 so far. So I surpassed that I'm working on book number 14 rn. I just read unearthd by amie kaufman and loved it! My library has the sequel on hold for me and I can't wait to go pick it up. I'm sad it's only a duology though, but I can't wait to read vengeful. I'm with u on that when u said u were gonna read all the sequel in 2018 but didn't. I have a lot of sequels on my tbr shelf as well, so u are not alone with that goal!(:
