Thanks for the vid bro. I JUST changed the filter in my ‘14 Sierra. Easy to do and I could not believe how nasty the old one was. I don’t understand why Chevy/GM stopped putting filters in some vehicles! My ‘02 Silverado had one- actually 2. They sucked to change but I did it. Those filters really actually do make a huge difference. I will be changing mine every year now. Only about $15 bucks and about 10-15 mins to do. My sister told me the dealer charged her $60 bucks to change the one in her Acadia. That’s criminal! Too easy and cheap to do yourself.

That is a quarter inch 3-in extension you used for standard bits.

I wish I'd seen this when I got my '07 suburban. Now I'm looking at selling it. 12mpg on the highway. 😩. Yep, I've got one of the 2500 series with the six liter 350.

I also used the foam detergent directly on the coil. Letting it dry over night, black as can be. Bleck

@@mannierivera7591 there are many out there. The one I use is called Clean Air evaporator foam cleaner. I also empty a can of Lysol on it. I have done this 3 times. I still have funky smell when truck is under hard load.

Nice video, however I used a blow dryer to heat up the plastic, much easier to cut.

Certainly can’t hurt! You wouldn’t think so but those filters do make a huge difference. Just changed mine in my Sierra. Immediately noticed the difference. The heat, defrost, and a/c blows stronger and it’s noticeably “fresher.”

I'm going through this same process with my 2004 Chevy Silverado Pickup. I have no idea why GM made the compartment but then stop putting the cabin air filters in after the 2002 Siverdo model at least until 2012. Now I know from your video that the same applies to Suburbans and other Chevey/GMC trucks and SUV's. @Maknificent12 Thanks for sharing the video!

The screw that comes with the door is a standard 1/4 inch and not a 7mm. Just FYI.

Blow dryer - wish I had seen this before I started. I used a drill to make pilot holes and then a key saw. Last American car I buy. Between this, the dash and the STUPID lifters - I should be in a sequoia
