Hi sometimes I fix a Zoom H1 audio recorder in to the hot shoe just to record ambient sound after the main video recording has finished. Pro sound guys do this all the time . No need to synchronize as its only background. The other advantage is having it on it's own track gives you more control. If you want even better sound quality use a RODE VideoMicro in to the Zoom H1.

I'm developing some tutorials videos for a project of mine, and i'm using a voice generator that is actually pretty good, but since it's generated, the voice audio is 100% clear and it's SUPER weird when the video has some pauses in the talking, it almost seems as if the headphones or speakers stopped working XD
