Add Bluetooth to an Oldschool Pioneer Radio

these oldschool pioneers put out some amazing sound quality. today we are adding bluetooth capabilities. this is a great upgrade and it keeps us from having to change out the headunit.
this headunit is a deh-p6400
i know this port fits many of the models from that time period(possibly others)

If you keep pressing function button on aux mode you can change the source name to bluetooth for example

Where does the red and black wire go

Red is +12v connected to the red wire of the head unit wiring. Black is Ground, also connected to the head unit wiring of the same color

It requires 12 volts so main power wire, not remote.

Every player that has the "P" on it's name has the IP Bus port. That means you can use anything that features this port.

Sound quality? Amazing. Far better than any headunit I've used mad in the past 5 years. Looks like many people still use these for bass competition and sound competitions

Neef your help drastically. Bought the exact adapter, wired it up and it does nothing. Put it on aux nothing happens. My phone is paired with the pioneer nothing happens. Trying to find the “bluetooth adapter” doesn’t find it. Please help I wanna fucking toss the entire radio in the water atm

Your phone had to be paired with the adapter, not the pioneer. Are you sure the adapter is getting power?
