Very simple fit and an excellent upgrade. It drags your VW up a generation or two. Did you ever fit a reversing camera. (That doesn’t seem too difficult either.)

I don't know my car doesn't have parking sensors but as far as I am are the parking sensors aren't controlled by the radio. The Bluetooth doesn't need the phone to be plugged in and I don't know how you would yet waze on this I use Google maps but you could always use waze on the phone and connect to the radio using Bluetooth hope that helps

The original Radio of my Polo has a „Car“ Button, where I can see informations about the driving style or general informations about my car. Can I still use those functions with the RCD330?

Hi, i am willing to buy a similar radio. My old one is similar to the first one in the video. It was not meant to have those informations ( driving style and stuff ) so i don't think they will work. But in your case you already had those functions so i think they will work with the rcd330 as well. Let me know if you already intstalled it and if it works!

So far my review on the radio is it's brilliant because it's touchscreen and the audio quality it puts out is better than the factory I've not had any problems with it my only qualm is that I don't have a reverse camera installed on it yet but I will be installing it soon

No I've not had any issues with battery drain you shouldn't have a car radio draining your battery ify you do I'd check your wiring or the compatibility of the radio your trying to install this radio is a vw aftermarket radio its designed for my car

U need to change ur Gateway with new model who support this rcd 330 so it work optimized, if ur under 2008 it wont work as well and it will leave ur battery empty.

I have seen the ambient lighting and footwell mods you have done to your polo, and I'm thinking of doing the same I'm getting a 2010 polo soon, but I'm wondering does this affect the battery of the car? Or have you run into any problems having these mods installed? And any trouble with the police since I have heard of people getting pulled over for having the lights in, and them getting points on their license.

That sounds like a good shout the polo is a lovely car wiring accessories properly doesn't affect your car only when you wire things incorrectly can you drain the battery or end up damaging your car. I'm an ex Engineer and fixing and wiring things is my trade and to wire up some ambient lights or other accessories is a simple enough thing I believe anyone can do. I have created my videos in a step by step basics were I hope anyone that has a know how about DIY or is new at DIY can follow I've not heard of anything like that I'm pretty sure those individuals would have been doing something illegal ambient lights are now a common feature in a lot of cars and so are footwell lights hope that helps

I have installed a RCD330 stereo on my polo 2011 with car play. I had no issues for the past 8 months. But right now when i take out the initiation ket the red lights on the bottoms of the stereo stays on? Anyone knows how to fix this issue please?

I've not had the issue myself but it's unfortunate because eight months isn't the longest time without doing checks on the fault myself I couldn't say what it is exactly or how to fix it but it could either be the radio is faulty or something is loose for the wiring harness try disconnecting that cleaning it if you see any corrosion and then plugging it back in

I think the harness must have a signal cable for the reverse camera or parking sensors even if you've have not paid to have them installed on the car the radio can then tell from that signal when you engage reverse
