Love this idea, thanks for sharing. In our family we don’t stress on equal spending for gifts. We try to find that special item for each that suits them. Our son lives far from us, so for him and his family we celebrate holidays, birthdays etc. when we’re together. This way there is no pressure for anyone, which, works for our family. Our favourite gift for each other is being able to spend time, together, as our family is expanding and finding their wings.

I am certainly going to put this in my granddaughter's journal - the one who loves to write. The other one will get a digital of something she really likes with a small journal card behind it. I never worried about spending equal amounts on the kids - it was more about equal number of presents. If one particularly wanted something worth $45 and the other really wanted something worth $60, I didn't sweat the difference. They were always happy with getting what they wanted. Now that they are adults, it's the same. My son gets a subscription to the gym and my daughter gets a new winter coat and they don't care what I spent - they just love their gifts.

I am absolutely going to try these for my journals and my new large folio. You inspire me to get crafting especially when I have lost my mojo, which has been a lot lately. Your creativity gets my creative spirit moving. I still make sure my grown children and all my grandchildren get the same number of gifts and same amounts of money spent on them.… feels like the right way to do it. Have a blessed week! 😊💕😊💕😊

Oh gosh Wendy when my boys were little after dinner they would get under the tree and count the number of presents each had. Hi Wendy...yes, I also still feel like I need equity in gift giving. And, I love this idea, looks so fun, and yes I will definitely give it a try. By the way, I lost my breath over the near cut with the cutter. I am currently taking car of my brothers wound from an accident with a model airplane propeller. it got his hand and he lost his middle finger, the tip of the index finger, and the ring finger has plates and nails to reconstruct it. I have a new respect for things that can cut us!!!

My Mother believed in same number of presents; same amount of money spent, for all four of us. One year my older brother had so many pieces of Bazooka bubble gum gift wrapped in a box! We have an only child so I didn't do the same as a parent but once our daughter married, we spent the same amount of money on our SIL, same number of gifts to open. Once the two Grandgirls came along, all four of them receive the same number of gifts and we spend the same amount within a dollar or two. I keep a running tab on each one!
