when i am adding negative coordinates the arcgis is showing an invalil SQL error. PLZ help how to slove this problem because when i am removing negative sign for west, the location of a country changes

Can we use UTM points recorded from a GPS device other than Lon/Lat? or should I convert them to Lon/Lat ?

habtamu worke your basemap might have different cooedinate system with gps point. Try transfer the coordinate system of your gps point..
