This is very useful to know, especially as halloween / fall and also easter / spring villages become more popular. Traditionally, people mostly did Christmas villages where all they needed was cotton snow blankets and sprinkle snow.

i figured out a trick for the moss/ get a old blender form a thrift shop- put in the moss and blend the heck out of it- you can blend it until it's a fine dust- this will act like the flocking at a fraction of the price (can get moss at dollar tree)...

Something I've been experimenting with is Easter basket grass spray paint it. It sticks and last forever.

also use the blender with the moss outside - this process is very dusty
