I do all the steps but when I get ti AI and i do the trace for the pink like, it fills my picture in. I am using letters with a picture I made and when I do that, it fills my picture in. Why is that?

when i choose the offset and fill it with the outline colour it fills the whole image, i have auto trace on

Make sure you are choosing the stroke color and not fill
