Driving the Transfagarasan highway has been one of the coolest things we've ever done!
You have to add this to your bucket list! It's totally worth to rent a car in Romania and experience this for yourself. Just make sure to leave early, because it gets pretty busy. We were out there before 7 am!

Very nice images Guys again. You will grow up as hell if you add daily vlogs from Romania and for sure you will be on tv news here if you continue is just a question of up to 75 days till you get 100k followes. :) I see you meet some sheeps on the way, just to let you know details couse i seen them, with red paint on them sheeps are older one (usually for sale) and green usually are special in a way that they are very productive and/or know how to guide other sheeps. And about visits in Hunedoara region in 200km you will love everything rivers, mountains, castles, huge history with ruins from medieval period and etc... Good luck !

a little advice! where are sheep, there are also sheepdogs and those in Romania are very territorial so you must approach the sheep with caution, even more if you don't see the shepherd!

Thanks so much! Yes, we read that too. The only reason we approached is because the shepherd was there and kind of gave us the 'go' with his hand :) But we read about this and I (Aimara) couldn't believe it! I literally pet every dog I see haha so I couldn't believe these dogs could be aggressive sometimes because they are trained to protect the sheep and shepherd. Thanks for letting us know though :)

@@waysoftheworld_ yeah, with so many bears and wolves the dogs have to match up. Trekkers are 99.99% fine walking the countryside, but attacks on heards are a bit more frequent. Also, dogs adjust their behaviour, if they get to places with a lot of people they don't lose it.

@@waysoftheworld_ yea the dogs are friendly with humans if the owner is around. Just think about it, the dogs live in the mountains, following their instincts to protect the sheep. Its a common occurrence for them to fight off wolves and bears, also the universal shitty human thieves, so they can be very territoial and agressive

When you come to Romania, you must drive on Transalpina! After you drive on Transfagarasan. It's just as beautiful.

Might want to take the Transalpina High (aka The King's Road) it's higher then the Transfagaras, eat at Stana Stefanu (i think you could translate it as Steve's Sheepfold, it's a shepherd hut)

I swear to God that youtubers are doing a much better job at promoting Romania than our fucking government ever did . Glad you enjoyed your stay guys and please do come back. I've been living abroad for almost 15 years and i've travelled through most of Europe and i dont know why, but I gotta say people from the balkans were the most hospitable and most eager and happy to share their culture, food and habits with foreigners. You should also go to Cluj-Napoca, it is one of the most developed cities in Romania and has the village museum which is very beautiful. Success in your travels.

I start the road from the other side.from Curtea de Arges. There is a beutifull 600years old monastery , where all the Romanian kings are buried. After that you arrive to the Poenari castle (built by Vlad the Impaler), the Vidraru dam, Bâlea lake. The road opens up perfectly.

They added it so that English speakers understand how to pronounce it. After all 'ș' is pronounced exactly like 'sh' in English.
