@@vishal-bhatia04 Let the distance be x km. Also let Speed of Boat in still water and speed of stream be u and v resp. Now from question we find x/u = 12 min or x/u = 1/5 hr Therefore x = u/5 Also x / u -v = 16 min or x /u - v = 4/15 Therefore x =4 (u - v)/15 Now comparing both equations we get a relation as v = u/4 Now to travel downstream time will be x / v + u. Now substituting the values of x = u/5 and v as u/ 4 we can find time in hrs and multiplying it by 60 we will find the answer as 9.6 minutes. Hope you will understand it.
