Make sure you are using the same Wifi in watch and the phone while pairing, also the port and ip address should be correct while using the pairing option.

When I open the Companion app on the watch, it shows 'download app on the phone' but your watch is showing 'continue on the phone'. I am being redirected to the XDA Drive. What should I do next. Also, the app doesn't open even after repetitive taps. I have to restart the watch in order to open the app but it goes to the same state after sometime.

instead of trying third party app try this use Samsung phone from ur family members or friends Install galaxy wearable and connect ur watch then activate all the features after that from watch setting, ABOUT WATCH - TRANSFER WATCH TO NEW PHONE and transfer data to ur phone

Make sure you are keeping the watch and the phone connected in the same wifi network, also once connected the connected confirmation will be shown, if it is not the app will not get installed.
