Great video! I'd go with a 1.6m SUL rod, a size 500-800 reel with a 1.8kg (4lbs.) line. Now that's trout fishing!

Jordon, another great job sharing the details of rigging for some trout fishing with spinning tackle. This technique seems to work well anywhere trout are present. Thank you for the information and the manner in which you present it. Good fishing to ya. - Tennessee Smoky

You can also use a small marshmallow to float the eggs instead of a bobber.
@scycosnake39645 жыл бұрын
Ha, and that wouldnt spook them. I use a rapala as a bobber
@craigleibbrand77612 жыл бұрын
Porcupine quill Bobbers work excellently with salmon eggs.

hasn't anyone ever tried using spawn sacs for stocked trout before? i was looking for any videos of it and can't seem to find any.... i'd think a good spawn sack should work well especially in ponds and lakes?

If you want put a treble hook. Almost every fish that bites will get hooked with one

I’ve seen in serval videos (with worms and eggs) the hook isn’t hidden. And they still bite?
@maximusfortier62423 жыл бұрын
Yea they don’t care that much
@ubreakitirepairit35693 жыл бұрын
@@maximusfortier6242 websites online say other wise. Trout are among the most skiddish of fresh water fish and the hook should always be covered.
@airmobiledivision77593 жыл бұрын
@@ubreakitirepairit3569 I’ve seen videos from Pautzke (salmon egg seller/manufacturer) themselves in which the host only uses a single egg, not concealing the entire hook, and still had luck. I’m very new to trout fishing myself, and have absolutely no experience with eggs myself, so I can’t reflect upon personal experience for an opinion on the matter.

Go down to 4lb test more fish and I would add that 3rd egg to hide the hook

Got a question, isnt 8 to 10lb monofilament too much, i thought fluorocarbon 4lb test is the best. New in fishing here. Just was wondering if maybe monofilament requires a thicker line Thanks
@blacktailbowhunter01355 жыл бұрын
anglngr9 Im a month late but, I’ve always used 8 lb mono main and 6 lb mono leader and never had a problem! 4 lb will work work fine, I have used it in the past. But I would recommend bumping it up next time you need to re-spool, to 6 lb as that will allow you to use 4 lb leader. The only reason I use that slightly heavier line is because I fish in river and lakes that you will often get into fish in the 2-4 pound range so it helps cut down the fighting time. Also in the river the line gets pretty scratched up after a while so that extra bit of strength is nice. Hope that helps, Good luck out there!
