Why keep it in size ?!? Cut it up first and then he puts a cure on it and doesn’t let it set at all then puts in borax right away ?!? Noooooooooooo cut the bait smaller and let the cure soak a few hours at least if not days before u put it in borax ?!?!?!? Wow guys lol that’s now how Canadians catch those fish

Cured my first batch of eggs, and put a little salt and sugar on them like you showed in the video. Wow! I was impressed how will it worked. At one point today I made 3 cast and had 3 strikes landing 2 of them. Thank you for the information and tight lines.

In my experience as long as you put down some paper towels you won’t stain anything and even if you do it should come off easy.

I use parchment paper and borax and let them sit out to dry not to dry just enough to cure the right way you know

Can you show us how to make an all around blend? I’m getting into salmon fishing from my usual bass fishing. I just want to be able to catch any salmon/trout so a all around blend would be good for me. Btw you guys should fish at alki beach park for salmon!

A good blend is pautzke fire cure i use pink you can use red, then some pautzke krill powder a sprinkle of sugar. Then let them cure. When you are on the water you can just add scent to the glob on your hook which in turn makes it so you can fish different scents.

Depending on the size of the trout, you can have pretty nice size chunks in your loop. If you're around a blue ribbon with some heavyweights big chunks work wonders.

Treating your eggs takes away the natural scent. Tie your bags up fresh and freeze them. I catch twice as many fish as the guys that treat them.
