I Still remember beating this game and listening to that last Credit song (which is in FAF1 too) It filled me with Nostalgia. Gage Mattson nope, he is not unbeatable (he is deafeated by the main character of NFS 2015), and yeah Underground 2 takes places after the protagonist did become really famous in real life (no dreaming), he does have an Skyline yet we never get confirmation that it was Eddie´s. But you dont have to take my word as the absolute truth, thats just my take on the game.

I recently beat this game (last races against Eddie and Mystery driver on hard mode) with the Mazda you get at the beginning. The rubber band effect was stupid. It made me feel like it didn't matter at all how fast or well I drove since the rubber band effect would just take it all away. All that mattered was that I drove solid and didn't make a big mistake. But good thing about the rubber band effect was that it made the game a lot harder - didn't allow me to play really well for 3 laps and get a big lead which would allow me to make a big mistake and still win - didn't matter if I had 3 perfect laps behind me, no mistakes allowed.
