At 5:35 minutes: There is nobody in the world who can improve on those harmonious, dulcet chord progressions. Where did this come from? This was extremely well written. @@ironcockroach5528 so I can't change my pianos tone? Thank you mate
@ironcockroach55283 жыл бұрын
@@phlobotonum3170 you can't change the sound of your instrument internally but Casio WK 1200 has a midi out on the back panel, you can use it to connect your keys to a PC via MIDI to USB cable. Then you could run a virtual instrument of your choice on your PC and control it via your keyboard. The sound will then be coming out from your computer speakers. It's basically what the guy in the video does.

@@ironcockroach5528 so you're saying that I can change my pianos tone once I connect it to a PC and then I can do some stuff to get a different tone? I want to record a song on the piano and the tones are really outdated so your answer was very helpful :)
@ironcockroach55283 жыл бұрын
@@phlobotonum3170 Yeah. But you need to have a DAW installed on your computer such as Cubase, Reaper, FL Studio, etc. Then you load a VST (Virtual Instrument) such as Addictive Keys into said DAW and insert it onto a MIDI/Instrument track. Then you arm that track for record, hit record and play your CASIO. The notes that you play get transferred in real time onto the MIDI track (and you might want to turn the monitoring on in your DAW in order to be able to hear what you're playing). Then you can edit your performance or make some overdubs if you want and so on and so forth. That's in short. You're gonna need to invest into a MIDI to USB cable, Reaper has a fully functional 60 day trial period and there are tons of free VST instruments available for downloading.

@CamiloSapag3 жыл бұрын

@tedl75382 жыл бұрын
Keeping the sustain always on will create a muddy mess, Kevin. There are whole books written on the proper use of the sustain pedal, which has been called "the soul of the piano" by professional pianists. They have also said that it takes a lifetime to master the use of the sustain pedal in all of its capabilities and subtleties. I suggest you take the time to get the a physical pedal (preferably one capable of half pedaling, although the AK VSTi, unlike some others, unfortunately can't make use of that), and start learning its proper use.

@JayTheLane4 жыл бұрын
Yes you could use a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) which is a piece of software that allows for multi track recording. You can draw midi notes in on a grid. Free DAWS include Reaper (this give you a fully functional permanent trial) and Cakwalk by Bandlab. Many producers or musicians use this method to good effect. You would need to have a basic knowledge of chords and scales but a lot of people just learn as they go along. Wish you the best in your journey 👍🏻

Joseph Axiak i got the same... Works fine... How high did you set your latency?
@96Shakey7 жыл бұрын
Dear Joseph, I had latency issues with Addictive Drums 2 before. I hope my experience can be of use to You. You could try an ASIO driver for eliminating the latency issues. Most of the time latency is caused by the Windows' built in audio processing driver. Using ASIO you lose the ability to have more than one audio files or sound generating devices (e-piano, e-drum etc) working simultaneously, however latency is absolutely nulled. The host program I use to run the AD2 plugin is FL Studio 11, as it is fairly easy to get used to, and it provides a great workspace as well. Moreover, having the possibility to add audio tracks, now I have the "one-audio-at-a-time" ASIO problem solved too, as the FL Studio itself is counted as one program that uses up the ASIO driver, so actually you can have countless audio files running simultaneously within FL Studio, while you are playing your instrument too. Excuse me for the long reply. If You have any questions, feel free to ask, may I have the knowledge to help You.
