Thanks so much for this review, great to know the negatives in such a positive way (if that makes sense!?) Just scored this for £36 shipped to UK from AliExpress so while I loathe the oversized logo I couldn’t pass this up! Someone said somewhere that the Deep Sea Hunter text should really be replaced with ‘Meca-Quartz’ and I couldn’t agree more. Other than that the Presage style hands and vintage indices you’d see on old 70s pieces just added to this Seikopaths clear decision to buy 😂 I got the sand version, I think the texture will show more clearly. Can’t wait!

Seikopath. Love it! I was tempted with the sand dial initially myself but at the time I had no blue dial watches in my rotation. I'm pretty confident the sand will display more clearly, and at 36 pounds its damn good value. Yeah I could see Meca-Quartz text working 👍

Hello from Croatia! I bought the brown dial version for 51 usd during the BF sale and for that price it's great value..imho in this option textured dial works better giving golden brown hues depending on the light and with dauphine hands gives strong retro vibes..very nice in sunlight.. It clearly is not a GADA watch, but great for daily casual wear where no loom and mineral cristal don't matter much..the deepseahunter sign makes no sense but, at least for me, the overall look and feel is what counts..

G’day. Hope the weather isn’t too cold over there. That sand dial was tempting me and it looks great in other vids but got the blue as I was missing that dial colour in my collection. I think with lume and sapphire it would elevate it to GADA status (and give more meaning to that Deep Sea Hunter name). I’ve got some straps coming in for it so I’m hoping to give it more wrist time once the bracelet is off. But I think you’re right in that it makes a great casual wear. Thanks for sharing.

I honestly didn't check because I like it on a bracelet, but in the spec sheet lug width is noted as 19mm..you've said it's 18mm, so maybe recheck it before strap change.. I also considered the blue option, but reviews stated it was more pale then in photos so went for the brown..

Right on both fronts. Thanks for the eagle eye check. I've added that lug width as a note for others. And as you saw, that blue is pretty pale. I've got a Swiss Watch Company and its blue is a lot more....errrmmm...blue.

I was about to go for the brown dial initially but realised I didn't have many blue dials in my lineup so that's what swayed me.

I got the brown version. A far nicer watch than it has any right to be at the price. I thought I'd wear it as a beater but I'm quite keen to keep it in good nick. Might even chance the white version.

After reading this comment, and the ones before it, I'm starting to think I should check out that brown dial now. And I agree in that it looks just too nice to have as a beater. More as a nice casual piece.

Intendi la larghezza delle anse o da ansa a ansa? Dopo aver girato il video mi sono reso conto che la larghezza delle anse era in realtà 19 mm e ho dovuto prenderne nota (doh!).
