Adding a 2nd Vibrant Ultraquiet Resonator

After deleting the muffler, there was far too much drone to drive comfortably. Luckily I had another Vibrant Ultraquiet Resonator in my garage, that I can put where the muffler used to be.
New setup: stock cats, vibrant ultra quiet resonator, and another vibrant Ultraquiet resonator in place of the muffler.
My new setup has no drone, but you can hear the car on acceleration with great tone. As you can see, at wide open throttle the sound is very close to the muffler delete. I could still see going a little louder in the future, but I really like it this way! Let me know what you think.

Sounds Super good. I might have to get this Resonator for mine. Ive definitely noticed it being louder than id like when i start driving too. I cant wait to see what you do to make the exhaust fit better. I have the same problem and the OEM look where the exhaust doesnt just look like its hanging below everything is soooooooo much better.

I absolutely love how it sounds now. Before it sounded like a vacuum being blown into a can, now it’s much deeper and a little quieter to the point of almost perfection. I really love how it sounds inside the car as well. I gotta get this done. I haven’t touched any of that yet but I’m so sick of how quiet my car is rn. If I were to buy everything you have installed how much would it be? And if you don’t mind linking them or guiding me to the right place to get these parts.

Thanks! I think it’s crazy how it’s so tame at times, but sounds so mean when you floor it. I have two of these on my system, in place of my stock resonator and muffler. Vibrant 1140 2.25" Ultra Quiet Resonator a.co/d/aO9fDSd The muffler shop could probably do it for $100-$150.

I would buy one of them, and replace your muffler with it. Then decide what you want to do with the resonator after that. That would probably cost you $75 at the muffler shop.

@@ace_helix4186 I agree it did sound pretty mean 😂 but okay so you have the vibrant resonator in place of both the muffler and original resonator? I know you said it in the video but some of the terms I’m still learning so some parts I’m not sure what they do or mean. But thank you for linking the vibrant I just saved it. I’ve seen some Korean guys on Instagram with quad exhausts and I wonder what that sounds like or how it works

@@brandonandino4705 yeah I have 2 of them, in place of my stock resonator and muffler. You could get a y pipe and split into dual exit exhaust but you’d have to run a pipe all the way around the gas tank. I like the single exhaust especially because it’s cheaper when I want to change it up, instead of having to buy twice the resonators and pay for extra labor haha

I’m betting stock cat and resonator with a vibrant Ultraquiet in place of the muffler would sound great. Just a slightly different tone than mine but similar volume most likely. Maybe a bit quieter than mine, but I’m genuinely curious what the tone would sound like. My temptation is to mess with the 2nd cat later on haha

I’m so glad I found your page ! I’ve just got a 2023 Elantra Limited and wonder where I should start with the modifications . I was thinking about doing a chrome delete but it’s already all black so I was just wondering if you could give me some inspiration!!

Luckily they didn’t overdo the chrome on these cars. But I can say that 0% chrome is a huge difference from 1% chrome so definitely black out those badges! I also like the look after I debadged the “Elantra” letters on the back

Yes That’s the diameter of the inlet/outlet, 2.25” fits the stock piping size well.

What is the difference in sound ove just getting the vibrant uq muffler instad of getting another vibrant uq resonator? Wouldn't it make sense to replace muffler with muffler instead of resonator? * I'm new to modifying cars, sorry*

Most mufflers will likely be a bit more quiet than a resonator. But the vibrant ultraquiet is somewhere in between basically can be used as either a res or a muffler. My problem, Is i had a vibrant uq in place of my stock resonator (doesn’t really make much of a volume difference but changes the sound) and i had no muffler at all on the back and it was way too loud and sounded bad inside the car. I added a second vibrant uq to match the tone profile of my midpipe resonator but it quieted it way down to where i love it now. I would day the uq resonators are basically a muffler. But that will be much louder and sound way better than a stock muffler

Did this tone down the drone? I have 1 MBRP resonator on my Veloster. I was thinking of putting a second resonator as close to the muffler spot to help alleviate that. Was wondering how much of a difference in drone there is.

i just did a resonator delete along with my black widow muffler swap and the resonator delete makes it sound like a trumpet its very loud im thinking of putting it back on or should i buy a after market resonator?

I like my vibrant ultra quiet resonators, you could put one of those on. Or you could throw the stock one back on, would be different tone but similar volume I would guess

It would, not the same as a CAI on a turbo model but still add some intake noise. I’m thinking about getting the AEM one myself

I haven’t tried either to say for sure, but I plan to get the AEM. From the looks of it, the aem had more of a complete covering and heat shield over the intake when compared to the k&n. The k&n is rated at slightly more power increase, but I just like the looks of the aem

I would start off by replacing your muffler with a vibrant ultra quiet resonator. If you wanted to go louder after that you could try deleting the stock resonator or replacing with a bottle style resonator.

@@realworldclips8151 if you mean leaving the stock muffler and swapping the res for a bottle style, I don’t think it would be loud enough personally. The stock muffler is way too restrictive. I would try the first option If you mean muffler swap, then replacing the resonator with a bottle style I think that would sounds really good

I would get a vibrant ultra quiet resonator 2.25” exits, or if you wanted to try louder I would try a vibrant bottle style resonator 2.25” exits.

Honestly you’d be best off replacing your muffler with the vibrant Ultraquiet, then depending on how you like the sound mess with the resonator.

Those are Michelin pilot sport 4, I need a new set soon. These are expensive AF so I’ll get a different set. I got lucky and bought this set of wheels with the tires still basically new on them
