I used 1/4 inch PVC pipe cut in short lengths as standoffs. Drill 2, 3 , or 4 small holes depending on how many wires feed through. Works great for me and keeps everything tidy.

Hi Dave, Many thanks for this video, The subject of which I am fully familiar with However, for those with revy restricted space in their back garden, & HOA situations, there is also the DX Commander series of Vertical DiPoles. Remember that when they are correctly made up, with labels added to each radiating element, The DX COMMANDER range can also be easily taken down and re erected reasonably quickly.. I Must Point Out that I am NOT connected in any way to Mr Callum McCormick or DX COMMANDER in any way, shape or form, & I do NOT collect any wage or fee's for mentioning Callum McCormick's' products. I just like his products & believe in them. They are a vertical version of the Fan Dipoles that you have just described herein this video. He has recently just designed & produced a 12.4 Mtrs high version with a much thicker Top section. This new product is now on sale, and has a coil at the bottom section for the 80 MTRs band, with instructions available for download which not only gives full instructions the general build of this fabulous aerial, but also how to wind the correct number of turns on the coil for the customers favorite section of the 80 MTRs Band. Best Wishes, Kind Regards, Ray. M0RAY, Locator JO01ii
