Hi and thank you for this video helped me a lot . Sorry to bothering you but I have two questions I have made this form into a video license agreement with text as a header and footer. footer has the license agreement terms . Questions how do I make the text connect to the form and the form go tot the client. The form works and I received the email but it did not go to the email I put on the form I have tried different thing but no success. I am just wont the license agreement to be quick for the client to do rather than them filling out a pdf form not as professional as an automatic send . Yours is the only one teaching the automations I had built the form and connected the dataset but was stuck on getting to actually email me a submission. 5 hours it took me to find this tutorial. 5 minutes was all it took to set it up. For me when I created collection I didn't get the form submission option (those three dots) instead WIX asked me for feedback.. so does this require WIX premium or we can create a collection and database on free version too?

This is great, the only issue is that when someone submits the form they are not added as a "subscribed" contact under Contacts. Doing a custom form like this, I don't know how to verify that they gave consent to be emailed. Do you have a workaround for this? Thank you.

Great Video. I created a form and then i tried to copy and past it on a different page because i want a contact form in every page... the problem is i need to relink every field to the data set and also have to create a separate automation because each time i duplicate the form, it creates a new set of fields. It's just a lot of work. Is there an easy way to duplicate it?

I have found out what the problem was. While I had connected the button to the "Submit" option, I hadn't published the site. After doing that, I went back into Automations and it was there. I see that you said as much later on in the video. Since I was following step-by-step, I wasn't going to keep watching until I got past that step. I'd have mentioned that solution _at that stage,_ rather than the end of the video, but there we are.

Hi there. Thanks for your comment. You can fix this by connecting your form to the dataset and also making sure that the submit button is connected to the dataset's submit option.

Hi Fabio, thanks for your comment. It is grey because your dataset is probably set to Read-only. You might want to change it to Write-only since you are writing to the database and not viewing or reading to it.

I have 5 contact forms and each one goes to a different email which it does when submitted and when the person notified of the form reply it goes directly to the person who submitted but once the person who reply's back it goes the all the emails I have in my wix account. Hi Eziz, thanks for your comment. Usually when you get errors like that it's because of the type of input field it is. E.g., email field types will throw an error if the texts entered into it is not an email, same for phone number and others.

Hi Ricky, thanks for your comment. To see the data you will need to connect your form to dataset and also ensure your submit button is connected. Once this is done, refresh the dashboard and it should appear for you.

O.M.F... I just spent the last 4 hours reading over all the API and back-end code required to do this because I thought Ascend wasn't working... Meanwhile i was using the wrong option, used Member Signup instead... I'm such an idiot! Thanks for the rescue tho, would've been messing around with stuff that was completely unnecessary! I did however learn that sending emails is technically not free so meh, that's a newly found appreciation for the big Goo and other "free" email providers 🤣
