You don't have to be familiar with the "North American measurement system," you just have to know how fractions work to understand 15/16 of an inch.

Please don't drill metal around electrical devices. The filings can get inside and cause all sorts of problems. If you do, just turn things off, maybe have a vacuum cleaner to suck the metal filings as you drill so you don't cause yourself a headache

not "North American Measurement System" since only the US really uses it as a standard, everyone else in North America uses Metric.
