Adding bass to a Honda Accord, without taking a lot of space 😉

I’ve done this with a JL Audio W6 and VXI 1000/5 amp and then also with the sub in a traditional JL box and the JL box sounds wayyy better but it does compromise the trunk space.

Find a local shop that is capable of working with fiberglass… that is the way 😉.

I just happened to buy a civic and I believe it has the same sound system. I’m not much on specs and stuff, but I do know it is very underwhelming. Does anyone know if I did happen to install a subwoofer would it negate my warranty or is that something that’s specific each car? Sorry if it’s a dumb question.

Adding an aftermarket subwoofer will not do anything to the vehicle’s warranty, but if the installation itself is not properly done and there is damage caused by it, dealer could give you a hard time… so make sure to visit a good quality shop.

Just add a traditional style 10" in a box. A shallow depth 12" in that location isnt going to do anything for ya

Why would you force so much cone area into such a small cavity when you know a single sub would outperform the pair in that airspace?

Shallow subwoofers don't take up much air space inside a enclosure. I think it looks great but I honestly like to run a single 12 inch sub because you have more control over one sub then having two and easier to install too

@@jonathantenorio8829 Most shallow mounts still require at least a half cube. That enclosure can't possibly be more than 0.3 cubes total.

Wouldn’t matter, quality of recording would never sound as good on a video as it would in person. Not a good representation. Sure it would sound great tho with a fully treated trunk

You would still have some sort of warranty. But for the parts that you have modded or put something into. They won’t cover that. So you should be good for you breaks and oil change and window coverage and all that good stuff.

I had the same idea. I just got a 2019 Honda Accord Sport in all black. Love the car but......we all know the stereo sucks ass. As soon as I can the speakers are getting ripped out. Do you know how many speakers the car has stock? Plan to replace the front doors and tweeters, back speakers (I laughed when I saw the magnet). Are there placement for tweeters in the back? I believe that I have 8 speakers. I know there is a speaker in the front under the dash, but is that not for the infotainment system? How did you add a amp with the head unit? Or did you replace it? (I plan to keep mine, I will not do anything that makes the car not look stock, just because I don't want to attract any more attention to the car. Had a 4k+ system ripped out from theft, they saw the head unit was not stock. My fault for not making it look stock like my dad told me) Might go with Polk speakers or Rockford Fosgate (used their subs before, they hit soooo hard)

I had a 2021 Accord Touring and had a full system upgrade done. JL Audio C5 6.5 coaxials and components in the front (w/ 1 in tweeters) and a 12in W6 with a VXI 1000/5 in the trunk. None of it voided my warranty and I I purchased the accord new through Honda. I’d say you’ll be perfectly fine. Just make sure you disconnect the anc module so you don’t get engine feedback through the speakers.
